FFS EdWill you stop posting my photographs and passing them off as your own. You never went near Reims in that car. I doubt it even left Yorkshire in your ownership..
Sorry fella, didn't mean to offend you........FFS
It was a picture of an old Porsche at Reims, who the f*ck said anything about me been there........you must have got your wires crossed.
Anyway here's a picture of said Porsche on its trip leaving Yorkshire........
As you were.

i've never been to Reims and though it looks like a good place to get a photo of a sports car i have no desire to go to be honest, i just thought i'd post a pic of the car i owned once very briefly, parked there.

You don't want to go, it would be a waste of fuel for you. It's not just about having your picture taken, for going there.F*ck i must go and take a pic of the GT2 there.
This is a good site to see why it was and still is special. Just driving up the long home straight towards the old pits, gets the adrenalin going.

I know my car was in the first photo, but it wasn't my photo. So here are a few of mine.
Great place to look around. I wish someone had told us how to get across the road though. One of us climbed the fence, and lost his camera in the nettles. If you go behind the pits and go through the tunnel to other side, it brings you up behind the stands.

What is so special about this location? Sorry for the ignorance
Err, just a little bit of history, abandoned buildings, ghostly ambience... need more?Closed in 1972 i think, but a lot of the track has now been demolished, and its good for some great pics, i guess its a good place to stop off while your doing the ultimate European hoon.
I found this,if you can stand the music. Turned out to be a 944 they were in??
I like this vid. Only pics but nicely done.
Shows you the tunnel too, to save losing your camera in the nettles.
Your mate would fit right in on our road trips.

ETA - I prefered the look of it before some well-meaning locals began doing the place back up.

For the SAT NAV users. East of GUEUX on the D27 ..... Thats the old Grandstand/Pits straight. About 3 miles West of Reims
Thanks for the pointers Wozy. ETA - I prefered the look of it before some well-meaning locals began doing the place back up.

Just come back from there last week, weather was not very good but fun none the less.
It was a stop off point on the return journey from the Petrolhead Nirvana Alpine Tour 2012

Its fantastic to try and follow the course round. We did it three years ago, went up the road marked no entry or some such, round some lovely sweeping corners then the road just finishes without any warning in a field. You could just imagine those old cars though on full chat round those corners. Driving from the main road down to that old straight towards the stands is a bit special.
Apologies for another non-pork picture
