What is people's opinions on said colour? Is it one of those colours that will see me owning the car for ever (in terms of poor re-sale) it's on a 996 with GT aerokit

Your opinions are greatly apreciated.

Sold my 993 C4S in viola metallic last May (though if i knew then what i know now i'd never have sold it).

I could have sold it 5 times over.

To be fair, it was a great car at sensible money, but the viola metallic didn't seem to be a problem (and i loved it).

Is that the same colour as Viola Chrome (metallic) used on the special edition 996 millenium (with all the extra goodies on board!) if so it looks different, rather tasty, can't see it affecting re-sale. Do tell us more about the prospective purchase.

It's a 98 C2
Viola metallic/Grey leather
43k
Manual
Clear lights
Aero kit
Sports pack
18inch sprots classic II wheels
Aluminium gear change and handbrake
White dials
Sunroof

Up at £35k.

The last three services were at paragon

Also looking at a 99 T silver/grey
doesn't have the aero kit but does have sound pack, other than that, they are similar spec.

The silver one has done 50k and is £33,995.

Really not sure which one to go for.

Silver 996's abound, and the aerokit is quite nice (IMHO).

Go for the viola. It really is a lovely colour on a bright sunny day through polarised lenses....

I think the 99T would tempt me more particularly for less money, clear lenses & POSIPs (side airbags etc)etc came with the My change.
Be sure it is C16 Uk spec & has a full service history.

I thought Viola Chroma Flare was only available on Millennium edition cars.

This car was an ex demonstrator and does look very nice from the photo's.
Just wonder if the colour will effect re-sale. Also think £35k is a little high for a 98 S with 43k on the clock?

The silver one has gone and there is little choice in the auto trader that meet my requirements.

Azura, you are right on that one only available for the 2000/01MY, the age of the car hadn't been posted when I asked if it was that colour, have you got a millenium?!

Hello mate, yes I have got one of the Millennium cars. I quite like the colour. Most people just assume it is black unless you are close up or in bright sunlight where it has a greyish-purple tinge to it. I think it looks quite nice.

TKD- if your not sure on this car I'd wait & find exactly what you want, prices on 996's will soften more (ok this will be mainly the newer cars) as the 997's start flowing. There are loads to choose from & you should be able to get a newer car for your £35k!
If it was my money I'd want at least a 99MYCarrera4 at that price, you would then get PSM, plus the 99my changes of clear lenses, posips etc.

Az- blimey, the millennium has every extra known to man bolted on board !
