What's happening with your old GT2 Crimp ?
Looks like 911V are having trouble shifting it. You were lucky to get shot of it when you did I reckon.
People want low milers.Looks like 911V are having trouble shifting it. You were lucky to get shot of it when you did I reckon.
Problem is the condition of my old one is outstanding and will drive better than any low mile garage queen, and i'm talking from experience.
You never know i may get it back and just puts some belts in the back of it??

That's the game, Willie - talk the market down and you'll be in one before you know it!!
(Are you still after one or are you sticking with the normally aspirated camp for now?)

I'm thinking about running another car alongside my 7GT2 and I'm tempted to make an offer on this one, 2 GT2s might be a bit greedy though

That car will sell, just takes someone who's capable of seeing beyond the mileage.

Seems like the only sensible thing to do taking your username into account :-)I'm thinking about running another car alongside my 7GT2 and I'm tempted to make an offer on this one, 2 GT2s might be a bit greedy though
I love my GT2. It still looks amazing, has truly brutal performance with circa 600bhp, but is still devastatingly quick on a track i.e stays with a 458 with a WTCC champ at the wheel (me in mine).
Anyone who thinks they are glorified Turbos and / or thinks GT3's are better needs shagging up the arse. i.e most of the tossers on this forum.
Rant over.
Jon.

I think you're been a little reserved in your judgement mate to be honest, its far better to be honest with your appraisal.......... Anyone who thinks they are glorified Turbos and / or thinks GT3's are better needs shagging up the arse. i.e most of the tossers on this forum.

Gt2's are very a specialist car, only those in the know venture into this Supercar.
Quite trueThere is a load of bollax hype of the wrong sort on forum's also.
A specialist car with a limited audience but certainly a future classic.
Cannot believe my old car is still for sale, if I had the room I would have it back straight away.

In different circumstances i'd have kept it without a shadow of a doubt

I need to sell both my cosworths to fund a Porsche, and in doing so I could buy my mates stunning turbo outright, where as a GT2 I would need to borrow a bit for one.
A lot of people say the turbo is more useable & faster in the majority of circumstances, and having driven my mates on track it really is a weapon, but it might be just TOO good/ sensible(in the loosest sense of the word!) , where as the GT2 would be a lot more challenging to learn?
Heart vs head!

It sounds like you're in a similar position to me.I need to sell both my cosworths to fund a Porsche, and in doing so I could buy my mates stunning turbo outright, where as a GT2 I would need to borrow a bit for one.

I recently swapped my 996 C2 for a 996 Turbo. I was sorely tempted by a 996 GT2 that I also looked at but the Turbo made more sense for the kind of journeys that I do.
I've only done a few hundred miles in my Turbo since I bought it but I'm also wondering if it's just too easy to drive it too quickly. Mine had a remap at some point in its history; it's putting out close to 500/500 which probably doesn't help.
The GT2 felt quicker on the test drive, and I was sure I'd been going faster in it, but the salesman said I'd actually hit a higher speed and accelerated harder in the Turbo. I guess the additional noise and nature of the GT2 give a greater sensation of speed than in the Turbo.
The GT2 was out of my budget, and will be for a while yet, but I think I'll eventually end up swapping my Turbo for one.
I'm more worried about losing my licence in the Turbo than I ever have been in my previous cars. The obvious solution is not to drive it so fast but it's an evil car that makes it almost impossible to drive it slowly.

Did that Castello car ever sell ?
Hope this is of some interest, magazine is still available on back order if anyone wanted a hard copy, plus they have an iOS app that you can download it.I've had the after market phone kit removed and the standard leather trim put back on the centre console, so it's all back to original inside the car.
