Hello,
I did sell it back to The Hairpin Company. I spoke to the new owner a few weeks ago.
A lovely car

Thanks for the update Ruebdo. I hope you had a good chance to enjoy the car & well done for putting the right wheels back on it..those other ones had been quite a big talking point..... I'll keep my scanners peeled incase the new owner wishes to sell it on at some stage. cheers

What did it sell for this last time, if you don't mind me asking?

Hi,
I really do not know what the new owner paid for it.
I think the asking price was 85k, and they sold it in days.
I have a hunch he is keeping it
Cheers

Hi there not wishing to hijack the topic, but i am trying to work out what my car is worth. 3.6 turbo RHD, 128,000 miles, silver with black leather, speedlines, great condition. FSH, all working and correct... any ideas of the value? i am thinking of selling. it is a UK car.

Yes they would. i know. it is currently having a little work done to get it ready for sale. stone chips etc. so i don't have many photos right now.
I have just had new front dampers and springs, air con radiator etc, loads of new seals and rubbers. it drives spot on and is nice example of a UK supplied car. The engine has had a top end rebuild at 9M.

the wheels are genuine speedlines, not copies, with the correct offsets.

i hope that this helps.

No not at all, i was considering a full repaint, but most of the car looked good, so now I am having the bumpers and a few odds and ends painted, it seemed a shame to fully repaint as original paint on most panels was fine. It is easy to get talked into spending loads of money that didn't need to be spent.
It is a difficult one to value, most of them are very low mileage, but it is the ultra rare one, with a fully know history and no accidents. I know that it is not £20k or £120k??

I assume those are not the speedline wheels you are referring to?

I`m also interested to hear what you have done with the fueling to ensure the good AFR's with 480bhp. Please tell me it hasn`t been achieved by the infamous 7th injector?

Maybe its a 9m 480bhp, so nothing to worry about.

The fuelling is spot on using an extra injector and controller, so all of that is safe and properly done. lots pf running was done with a lambda sensor to ensure it was all good. My background is F1 and Indy car engine development with Mercedes and GM. 9M did a super job of the engine rebuild.
Wheels, those are speedlines, as you can see not the correct ones, but genuine speedlines. there are also a set of the copies that look genuine, but are heavy and not that good.
i think that the wheels are 'Speedline Alessio'

Thanks to those who have sent me a constructive PM. I guess that it is difficult to value as no one has been able to suggest anything.

That is really good news, well done!

Has he paid yet, or is he having it inspected?
