What's that based on, is it a Mk1 MR2?

It's a 'flatnose', which I used to love when I was about 12, but I've now matured and realise they're bloody awful.

I do agree. Flat noses just look wrong. Just not a true 911 silhouette. There is just one exception. A silver flat nose that a very good mate has owned for many many years. Reg no EGG3D. Some how Egg's flat nose somehow looks just right.

If you strip away nostalgia is is the 993 - it is not a hard question to answer wink

Otherwise the 964 RS has a strong shout against the early 70s cars. However, I have to add that the best 911 shape whatever it may be does not have a rear wing. The wing is functional and my last 2 have had one, but if you are only interested in a classic shape then for me it is not for the winner.

Or to put it another way: I love my 997.2GT3 and it certainly is the car that I want to be driving right now but if someone in a 964, a 993 or a '72 911S were to contest that they had a better looking car, the only answer that I could give would be yes. Which of those is the best is very much down to taste and all of them could make a compelling argument.

1) 993 GT2
2) 1973 2.8 RSR (not a typo)

Think I may have a bit of a wheelarch fetish...
Edit:
Having said that the relatively slim-hipped RUF CTR could be my number 3).

My comment was a joke, but thinking about it I preferred the look of my Mk1 MR2 smile

Linen Grey surely, or possibly Slate or Stone. Never Seal as an original colour.
Sorry, I meant Slate, my car is Seal. Thanks!

Just sat on my balcony in Zante, sipping an Ouzo and thumbing through the EVO, 911 Heaven feature and I think I have the answer?

Me too, guards red turbo smile

Used to really like the 993's but dont think they have aged as well as the 930's and 964's although you have to love the 993 GT2's ....dont like the 996's at all (sorry)
