Not correct. I got £1500 off mine last month for delivery in November, and got the driving experience included as well. Not a huge discount, but more than perhaps I thought was possible for a new model. If I had a stock unregistered car it would have been quite a bit more. This is in contrast to my previous Porsches (pre 2007), when no discount of any sort was available but prices didn't seem quite as extortionate. IMO new Porsches have become very expensive (relative to other brands where more kit is standard - and no recognition in the pricing structure of the doldrums the economy is in) and thats why discounts will undoudtedly increase as the model ages, (to keep sales up with the production lines). I cannot believe Porsche sell many 2.7 Boxsters below 45k and many will be around 50k. It also seems many are specifiying their Boxster S's at a cost of £65,000 ( that's the same as my nicely specified 997 cost me in 2007). Sadly a 991 is now out of my comfort zone, even with a 10% discount.

Eh? No it isn't, well not in rural suffolk it isn't... if you look at the map for (say) IP21 5nn, that covers an area about 10 miles across and 8 miles north to south!http://www.doogal.co.uk/UKPostcodes.php?Search=IP2...

It's not easy to compare today with the past, we are in a different world today with the emergence of the BRIC countries that have changed the worlds economy forever.Porsche build costs are now half what they were in the early nineties.
I personally think that Porsche have priced the 991 way too strong and they know it. But it would be damaging to the brand to reduce it.

Before anyone says,I know it does a whole lot more than satnav but its poor at those things too, for example can't even play an MP3 album with the tracks in the correct order!

The 5 figure postcode wanted to take me into Cheltenham city centre, some 5 miles past Prescott where I wanted to go. Pathetic. I use coordinates now which is fine with a bit of advance planning.
