It's 30 minutes of entertainment. Record it on your PVR and you don't have to sit through the ads or the recaps after each commercial break.
The lead actor needs to brush up on his pretend argument skills. Perhaps he should watch a few episodes of American Chopper for inspiration.
To the previous poster. It's not the same bloke as in the garage, although they both come across as somewhat odious.

The team including Bernie and the other Partner all work for a garage not too far from me by Golders Green Station at a garage called Steiner at the station I think Bernie owns it along with the other chap.
I used to get a train to work in town from there everyday and used them a few years ago for a service on a Merc I had as it was really easy to leave the car there and pick up in the evening and they were good guys but I do remember the owner being a really horrid mouthy gXXXit so the act is not just for the TV.

This is all a bit serious, it's a bit of fun and entertaining whether yoiu like it or love to hate it.
The car was a bitsa and wouldn't be worth the "entertainment, we've made a huge profit" valuation, look at the programme for what it is, a bit of Monday night telly.
The 22K price tag is irrelevant because they're giving it away to a "lucky" winner!
If you want to see quality vehicles being done properly watch Chasing Classic Cars or Wrecks to Riches USA.

Well Paul, restoring a classic Porsche 911 is very much like making love to a beautiful lady. First of all you have to find one with a body in reasonable condition. Then, once you've agreed a price get her home, and rub her down. Then, once she's nice and smooth all over, you can take her into the paintshop and spray all over her...
I wonder why the BBC don't do a proper restoration programme? I think they could do a proper job of this format without all the crap arguments, idiot presenters, stupid time limits etc and find that there would be a fair audience. It's strange that Top Gear is the only programme BBC are prepared to make when there are lots of opportunities to make car themed programmes. I know they're always looking at obtaining high viewing figures but done the right way I'm sure there would be lots of people who would find this type of programme interesting.
