EO51 TCX Lapis Blue 2002 Boxster 2.7.
Discussion
Random and unlikely to bring back any results but I was wondering if anyone here had my old 2002 Boxster reg: EO51 TCX, 2002 2.7 Lapis blue with light upgrade and black hood.
It was a beautiful car that I lavished care on and I'd be interested to see how it's getting on. It'd be nice to tell the new owner that I had an LN Engineering IMS upgrade done on it at Autofarm so they need not worry!
I traded the car in against my current Cayman but, much as I love my Cayman, I still miss it a bit.
If anyone has heard of or currently owns the car drop me a line.

Hi,
Reference your post about your old Porsche, I am talking to someone in Plymouth with the intention of possibly buying this car, he has given me a verbal history of the vehicle, but would be great to hear from a previous owner, she looks good, but just want to make sure she is what she seems?
Hope to hear from you.

Hi mate,
It's was a great car and I spared no expense looking after it. I traded it in against a Cayman of similar spec in 2011 (I think)
During my ownership I had the intermediate shaft bearing replaced with the LMS ceramic item so that should now be bullet proof, the original bearing was in perfect condition when it was removed.
It had a new clutch and flywheel done at the same time (Autofarm did the work)the car was regularly serviced and anything it needed was done.
It had a door opened on it on the rear left wing but this was properly repaired by a Porsche approved repairer in Christchurch. The damage was very minor and certainly nothing to worry about.
Provided it's been looked after to the same degree by it's subsequent owners it should be a cracking buy!

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, had a look at the car today, and apart from some wear on the gear knob and door handles, it looks to be pretty well looked after, have negotiated the price down to £5400 but am still deciding whether to buy? Don't think it would take much to bring it up to a pretty high standard. Nice to hear from a previous owner.
Cheers,
Rich

It's still looking pretty nice! Thanks for the picture, I enjoyed owning it very much.
What mileage has it got on it these days?
I can remember what I paid for it but £5400 seems pretty reasonable (although I really don't know what they go for now) I might even buy it back myself!!?? (Joking of course)
If you do buy it I've got some very nice German style aluminium pressed number plates for it in the garage.

Hi, yes she does look good!, I think I will probably buy it, she has 89k miles on the clock now, which I don't think is bad considering the age of the car, I would be interested in the plates (and anything else that you might still have for that matter!) could you send e a pic of the plates?
Cheers,
Rich

Hi Chris,
Decided to buy the Boxster, think she is pretty good for the money, am picking her up on Sat, hoping for some decent weather so that I can get the roof down! Thanks again for the offer of the plates.
Best regards,
Rich
Base 2002 2.7l Boxster is the best and lapis blue the best of the best.Decided to buy the Boxster, think she is pretty good for the money, am picking her up on Sat, hoping for some decent weather so that I can get the roof down! Thanks again for the offer of the plates.

My lapis blue 2002 Boxster has covered almost 310K miles and still runs great. Being outside all the time is starting to take its toll on the clear coat of the mirrors and the clamshell paint is fading a bit (the clear coat is still intact). Back around April 2009 I had the front bumper cover replaced with a new cover and painted -- a driver thought the light changed and drove into the back of my car and shoved my car into a car ahead of mine so my car had rear bumper cover and front bumper cover damage -- and the clear coat is starting to fail on the front bumper cover.
My car is on its original clutch, IMS and IMSB, and even the coils.
Keep the body water drains free of trash and ditto the radiator ducts. Keep an eye on the door bottoms. If they feel damp the door membrane is likely leaking and this needs to be replaced. Otherwise the water can run into the door and over the door water barrier and into the cabin. The security module is on the floor of cabin (under I think the driver's seat on UK cars) and if this gets wet... Oh boy.
