Had to laugh, at the Brands Hatch Festival some bungling oaf put a carefully prepared (on their computer and printed up in colour), flyer on the screen of the K-N. Wording to the effect - you only bought a K-N because you wanted the world to know you had bundles of money and it`s sole purpose would be to ferry the kids to school.

A really cool idea bar couple of tiny flaws.

1. Next time don`t pick K-N`s parked up in the race paddock with towbars and trailer`s attached, tools in the rear and hence used for "work".

2. Next time pick an event where the K-N isn`t the poor relation, the vast choice of exotica with huge price tags and often only 2 seats actually made the K-N look quite normal and sensible.

3. Next time stick it on someone`s truck who actually gives a toss, you`ve only got to look in my wardrobe to know I`m not too fussed on how the rest of the world view me !

Bless - I do worry for some people.

My mum had something similar PASTED to her Shogun the other day. It was some stupid message saying that 4x4s were killing the planet and kill 20 times more people than regular cars. My mum made the valid point that she has yet to kill anyone in her Shogun, but she would gladly run over and squash the bored middle class kid who wastes his time fly-posting cars.

With Ken egging them on, we will only see more of this behaviour, probably to any motor that isn't a smart or a pruis.

I can't believe anyone went to all the trouble to put the "KN" post on the windscreen. What makes them look even more silly is that fact they didnt notice your trailer! Twats!

I wonder what they drove themself that makes them feel so superior/inferior.

The thought did cross my mind as well. We will never know.

The mind boggles. With all the ignorenti out there criticising the looks of the Cayenne, the owner of such a vehicle is hardly likely to give a damn at a whinging note left on the windscreen.

In the current mass media hysteria of 4*4s being kiddie killers I'd like to bring some more dynamite to the frenzy. Whenever I am making a journey that involves making progress along roads littered with traffic calming obstacles, I always borrow an off roader from a household member for the trip.

I will admit to having had a good look over the Techart Cayenne Turbo at Brands on sunday (liked the alloys and adjustable suspension, not sure on the body kit). I came to the conclusion that If I was in the market for one, as I don't go off road I'd be better off with an RS6. If I lived in an area full of road obstacles though I would steer towards the Cayenne. The correlation between traffic calming measures and the explosive growth in the sale of SUVs cannot be a coincidence.

PetrolTeds review was enough to make me want a go in one. Changed my thoughts on them.

Now if he or she left a note simply saying "What were Porsche Designers thinking" then I would understand

It beats me why someone would spend £25 of their own money to attend a festival for Porsche enthusiasts and leave comments like these?

Surely, the target for such comments would be the K-N owners who had little or no interest in the brand, its racing pedigree and engineering. These owners would probably wouldn`t be seen dead at Brands Hatch, watching a bunch of noisy supercars being chucked around the circuit.

It would appear to me that the K-N drivers which attended the Porsche Festival in their vehicles clearly show an interest in the marque. A statement totally opposite to the comment left on Henrys K-N.

This advert seems to sum up this whole thread-as the seller says "It Makes X5 Owners Jealous"

Hmm....the word "prat" comes to mind

I've found it very useful (except when selling my 996)- You usually get good pictures, clear description and the time to inspect the car before bidding. The other good thing is that the description is admissible if a seller misdescribes the car. Now compare this to buying out of the autotrader or even in some cases from a dealer (who will not usually put things about conditon in writing-Except Henry who seems to have bought every Porsche in the UK whose air conditioning appears not to work)
