well done, you really won't regret it. and if you do, and you decide to sell on in a year or two, it will still be worth virtually what you paid for it. its a no-brainer really

Thanks

It all fell into place yesterday (exactly as my mate said it would).

Once again, thanks to everyone who offered their advice.

I know someone who's just advertised their 944 S2 on PH - did you buy that car? (in Surrey)

No, not that one but a very similar spec.

Congrats on the car Buster, I'm sure you wont regret it. I've had my S2 for nearly 6 years now and clock up about 12k a year in it. It will never, EVER leave our family fleet. I've joined this thread late but check out my profile for an idea of 12k a year running costs.

About 3 years ago I decided I needed a 911 and started looking at late 3.2's and early 964's. After looking at some I realised a good one was far beyond my budget and day to day living would have been too uncomfortable for myself and the family so I had to give in to my head and buy a second 944 - a Turbo this time.

There will come a time when I give in to the 911 but it will have to be something special like an RS or GT3 (and the kids will have to be out of the picture )

Thanks diver944, will post spec when I actually pick it up - I don't want to tempt fate that it will fall through.
