2 years on , have they dropped the usual 911 30% and now selling at sub £100k or is the £145k one at TH indicative of current values ?

Always liked the idea of getting one, however if I had anywhere near that kind of funds, a 2010 GT3RS would be sought first. £145k is near MP4 12C money.

No, its a power kitted Carrera S engine, circa 400bhp I think.

I wonder if this would put a lot of potential buyers off or are these collectors cars unlikely to receive the 'punishment' that GT / T cars would normally endure?

There are so few about that its difficult to really judge but the very occasional car that pops up seems to be holding its price very well.

The fact its really a Carrera S with the full Technik catalogue thrown at it , unique colours and a ducktail spoiler doesn't mean too much because its a pukka Porsche limited edition never the less.

And the wide body and the funny roof, plus the SportDesign body bits, not to mention the Exclusive touches to the interior.

I'm not really getting this , must be missing something ?
Is it a run out model with a large price tag attached ?

I'll give you the roof, to a much lesser extent the spoiler but wheels and trim are just that, trim. The wider body is just that of the bog standard C4. Don't be taken in by Tom Hartleys spiel.

Its fundamentally a C2S with a power kit and listed at £30k more than the RS and most ridiculously £10k more than a 4.0 RS!!!

But, Porsche have a long history of similar special editions, people want them, they buy them and why shouldn't they supply the demand.

Same as the Speedster, so not very unique.

Yip , I appear to be , it's a 997 non metzger with a body kit teacher

Ok, they put a different label on it and added lots of £, and ???

It's a collector's car.

Yep.

If it had been c.£90k it would have been quite interesting, but not £130k.

It may be rare, but it's simply not a true collectable - no real provenance or race history.

I absolutely love my 911 Sport Classic!!! smile

Ive had 911's for 25 years and this car is the one for me.

Ive done the GT3's and the PDK Turbo's and had moved on to a Ferrari 430 Scuderia
but they simply dont work, amazing amazing but drive you mental.

I wanted a serious car, but needed to slow down a bit on public roads after the Scud
and really it just seemed a great choice.

I read the write ups and it was obvious there's a lot more to this car than a carrera with
a power kit. One write up described it as "The best street car in the world"

I have had it for 8 months now and it is superb.

Body shell is different as it has a double bubble roof.
