Hi all

I'm really getting cold feet about this purchase guys
The man who looks after my cab is on holiday all this week so I carnt get him to go and inspect the car!
I've done the usual HPI checks and it's not flagged anything up but all the bad comments about the dealer has got me doubting the car

Hey slick, your story ties exactly with what was said to me on Friday when I travelled down with the deposit. You mentioned Porsche Leeds were going to inspect it for you, I was wondering how much that was going to cost and who you was dealing with? ( if that's not to much to ask a fellow gt3 searcher)

Thanks Nole
Hi mate - no problem. I spoke to a lady on the service desk (forget her name) http://www.porsche.com/all/uk/?leeds she was most helpful and said it's best if I / you pay for the check as they then send you the report, if the dealer pays then they have to send it to them first. Not a good idea for obvious reason! One thing I will add, I first wanted them to have JZM inspect but the were having none of that as it's too far (although I said I cover the cost and if all is well we could complete the deal there). Fair enough, I want Porsche Leeds to check it and I'll pay. Sure they said but they have to inspect it on site and were not willing to take the car to the Porsche dealer!

A complete a$$ in my opinion, if your spending north of £50K you want to be wined dinned and 69'd clearly this guys have zero idea of customer service. As a previous (very funny) post said, 'wouldn’t buy a bag of crisps of this lot'.

Cost for Porsche Leeds to inspect, I think it was £220 all in. Must have requirement for you my friend...

- Slick.

Oh, btw I'm now actively looking for a lush white GT3 and there are a few out there. If this falls through don’t go swiping another one from under me! Once is allowed, twice gets a red card! ;-)

It's nice, but I don't like silver and I doubt they're offer me as much in part ex.

Would defo be interested if it was white and the 2 year warranty would be great

Stop thinking about colour.

Mine is silver - but wrapped in something more interesting from 3M

The wrap is the darkest blue metallic 3M film available.

I really like the colour on the car, both in sun and when clouded over.

Many more pictures of the car on our summer roadtrip thread, and plenty more from different photographers at the Ring smile

Personally, I would walk away from this car. However, If you really want to pursue it, speak to Mike at Sports & Classic regarding an inspection.

Get the garage to drive it to Porsche! When I purchased my car, I paid for the inspection, they took it to Porsche and collected it, the report came back saying a great car but in order to get a warranty about 4k of work was required, which was done by Mike at S&C for about 2.5k

3 months later I purchased an OPC warranty. smile

If the garage refuses to take it to Porsche for an inspection that your willing to pay for, then walk away!!!!
