Looks superb both inside and out cool I presume you've enjoyed it on track Slippy?
Her former owner did. She's a garage queen now. But will still get the occasional good spanking on the road.

Hi Lee, how's it going ?
Between you and me, I was never a fan of your latest build, but now you've got the correct 15" wheels on it, it looks perfect cloud9
I'm glad you've found your perfect car in the early 911. Seeing the pictures of yours makes me wish I'd not abandoned my FIA spec 2.8RSR build now. frown
I was amazed you sold the 964 after all the time effort and expense you'd put into it, but I've no doubt the build and website gave inspiration to many.
Hi Henry,

Im good thanks!

Looking at the car this morning which is still on 16's until the 15" tyres arrive I can see that it never looked right. The 16" wheels simply dont look right with the car low, wide arches and the IROC/3.0rs bodywork.

It was a big jump as the wheels were a good few £ but the difference it has made is so big that it was worth it.

Pictured below with a 9" rear but I have a 10" rear arriving this week.

I initially missed the 964 but it wasnt right for my needs after having a son. I nearly sold this one as it wasnt sharp enough for me in the handling department forllowing the 964 but I kept at it and after a suspension refresh shocks/bushes/ride heght/geo its such a great alrounder for me and suits my needs. Its very light at 1140kg and I reckon 260bhp so its really fun.

Never happy though Im already thinking about putting the correct flared arches on the car and even going back dating to a long hood 2.8rsr. My aim aside from looks is to get the car as close to 1000kg as possible.

I think you offered me some parts from your 2.8rsr project when you decided to give the idea up, If it were now I would jump at them.

Your 964rs is wonderful, so very clean. The good thing is I know you will drive it.

Indeed, I came from my Subaru to my 993, and thought it was so dull went back to another Subaru before discovering GT3s winktongue out
I've had the pleasure of Subaru in the past as well as others and almost bought a Mk1 GT3 in Zanzibar but someone beat me to the sale, shame as it was a cracking motor. Had air cooled for a few years now and can't see me moving on just yet. Couple of my previous:

I've seen a few in great condition but yours is simply one of the best cloud9

Did you buy the car in this condition or have you made it what it is Slippy? Trust me I know it's a never ending task but what work is left outstanding as in a previous post you hinted at work to do.

Still here, just not much been happening of late.
Treated to a new set of brake calipers all round.
Extinguisher recharged as it was out of date.
New battery master cut out switch as the old one packed up.
Looking forward to a change in the weather so I can book a test day and see if all the niggling little problems have now been ironed out and of course see if we have got a reasonable suspensiom set up in the car. It won't be the ultimate as we have fixed Bilsteins and non adjustable anti roll bars but hopefully a good base setup that I can work with.

Be good to catch up with you at a few shows this year buddy your cars looking tidy

Has to be said Lee you make a great job of the cars you create.
Slippy, how many miles has that car done? It looks better than the Thomas smidtz examples. Seats brand new?

Hi Steve,
that there's a job I don't envy. Always worth the results though. What are you using?
Hi Mark, I used tardis (which is xylene based), toluene for tough bits and lots of elbow grease. I didn't go mental on removing every last bit of glue because I'm putting a light weight carpet back in. Nett weight reduction by removing sound proofing, trim and other stuff has been a satisfying 35 Kg. smile
Ah right. That's a worthwhile weight saving. I love seeing the painted floors but in reality I'd possibly go for the lightweight carpets too.

It's obviously still a keeper then. thumbup
