Have to say I love it, inside and out. Would love one.

Be very interesting to see what happens to 97 RS.2 prices now.

Agree with the previous posted as well .... JB looks like a lost schoolboy. smile

Great vid, car really looks ace!!!! Price is no where near anyone's guess, at £100k that seems well priced in relative terms ...

Can't wait to see one in flesh.. smile

I'm going to wait and get the convertible version I think smile
Why not. The GT3 now shares no parts with the Race cars so no reason not to.

Keep it.
It's a kid-on GT3. Got all the looks, as long as you don't examine it too closely.

I will be having a test drive in the Cayman S though.

I really like Andreas. He didn't shy away from the key concerns and addressed them directly in the language of an enthusiast. That of the DFi, elec steering and PDK.

I'm convinced. This car is going to be something incredible.

I'm intrigued by the clutch dipping feature, operated by pulling both paddles.

This is so that you can provoke oversteer?

That's what he said - if you want to kick out the back end it is hard with the PDK so they introduced this feature!

My head is beginning to hurt with the PDK argument.

On the one hand Porsche cannot win as this is not a race car for the road.

On the other hand Porsche cannot win as the car is not manual.

Show me a current proper race car that is manual!

As he said this is set up to behave like a full on sequential, no overdrive - just like a race car. But still, no, it's a marketing gimmick.

I've had my name down on one of these for over a year already, but always said that I'd not bother if it was PDK only. I'm a little torn at the moment because I love the involvement of a manual car, however I did think that a sequential shifter would be nice and rather cup car like which for all intents and purpose, Porsche have provided. I've read a few things about the possible technical reasoning behind the PDK only option and lets face it, the days of the manual gearbox look numbered. It's going to be a tricky one this because everything else about the car sounds great.

Hmmm , I'm not convinced . Anything new on the scene will always have mixed emotions for me but not into this new GT3 at all . I'll stick with my 997.2 RS any day over this thing . Still people will buy it purely because its the latest & greatest bla bla bla new kid on the block . yes it still will be interesting to see what happens to values / opinions on all prior GT3/RS models .....

I love the look of the car it will be interesting to see how the rear wheel steering feels, I had a prelude 2.2 vtech with rear steer years ago and loved the handling on that. I can see this getting rave reviews.

Indeed. It's the biggest nod to the manual lovers they could give I guess.

I suspect that the RS will have be optional PDK or manual for the enthusiast. GT3 will move more towards the hotter version of the standard grand touring 991.

If that happens then I'm guessing 997 values will hold quite well...

My 991 does it. Nothing new there.
Ok, I didn't know that!
