No problem, it will be interesting to see how many of the 10k depositors actually covert into a firm order..
Given its on the same production line as the other 991s due not using the metzger engine, I suspect supply will be governed by demand . So rather than around 170 991 GT3s for the uk as per 997.2, it will probably be nearer 300.Waiting for the first person to be denied a build slot!

I think I have made my mind up on colour and am now settled on Guards red as below, my build is http://www.porsche-code.com/PE8AJ2N4
Reading the spec, I assume that this is to be a keeper and strictly not for any track use? Should be a very nice machine. Edited by DiscoColin on Friday 29th March 14:51

I suspect the only 'improvement' is the latest revised hubs as on the Gen 2 GT3, otherwise I think this would have been mentioned before now, they certainly don't look any different from the outside.
I did change a CL wheel myself for the first time a couple of weeks ago, with the required torque wrench I found it pleasantly straightforward and quick.
The nuts look a bit different - smaller splines perhaps? Obviously can't tell what's going on inside though.I did change a CL wheel myself for the first time a couple of weeks ago, with the required torque wrench I found it pleasantly straightforward and quick.

I see you and the OP have gone for ceramic brakes, are they significantly better than the standard stoppers? Great choice in white btw TX.
Wonder if anyone could help with my dilemma - I currenenty have a 997G2 Turbo and also have a deposit down on a new GT3 (4th in que , I think) Should I wait for the new Turbo or swop to a GT3 ?- I love the sheer efficiency and 2 sided nature of my Turbo ( quiet , efficient and calm & a mental racer all in one package) but prefer( or maybe just fancy a change) the looks of the GT3 and am hoping that the 991 version is slightly more refined than the 997 version and as such will not become annoying as an everyday driver - any thoughts ?

Yes exactly the cars move towards a slightly more refined road vehicle has prized me away from ordering 458 with an absolute shed load of cash left over, meaning I can afford to keep my Scuderia as well, win, win :-)Edited by DiscoColin on Friday 29th March 14:51

Nice!My advice would be (with PCCBs) to go for yellow stitching not red and yellow belts!

A bit of an error on that one. For a Clubsport you want steel brakes. Ceramics only make sense for road only cars. Otherwise - very tasty.I don't know whether I am missing the point[s] but why are you guys going for cruise control and painted headlight sprayers? When did you find an empty road that you just wanted to sit at a fixed speed? Roads with traffic reqire constant adjustment so as I said I just don't get it but I am always missing the obvious!
The painted sprayers are right next to non painted hedlights and look fine as they are imo.
Something I have no opinion on at the moment is the LEDs so anyone any experience or comments please. Is it just the gimmicky looks or are there benefits?
