This is a very fair point. - but technically speaking it may be a bit "off topic" ? smile Either way , does anyone know what colour the little Aussie temptress has ordered - need the data for my chart smile
I asked her especially for you but she wouldnt confide in me. You should be so lucky.

Interesting but alarming about the engine. I used to race a sports prototype with a 3.0 Nissan AER V6 producing 430 hp (in a 570kg car with full aero). The engine was race developed and proven in the World Touring Car Series over several seasons and is widely regarded as one of the toughest race engines ever produced. The crank was machined from a solid billet (not forged) and it had light weight con rods and lightweight forged pistons. The oil was changed twice every race weekend. The rev limit was 9,000 rpm and obviously the engine spent most of it's life between 6,000 and 9,000 rpm. The car had a sequential race gear box (Hewland FTRS). We ran the best race lubricants available and state of the art coolants.

The engine service life was somewhat less than 30 hours.

At 35 hours these motors were likely to self destruct spectacularly - a fellow competitor threw a rod on his car at 34.5 hours run.

In view of the above, I believe that if Porsche can produce a reliable motor capable of 9,000 rpm in general service they will deserve our admiration. Let's not rush them!

Very , very good- made me laugh out loud - best post on the thread 10/10 smile ! Thinking about this logically if Kylie isn't getting a GT3 , maybe she'd be better off driving a JASON DONER - VAN - she could always park it at her NEIGHBOURS ! woohoo

Just checked my spec sheet from OPC which says "main service interval 20, 000km/2 years".

Still don't know whether that's good or bad.

Happy to tell you I don't know what colour stitching I have gone for, I do the know the car is blue though. I am looking forward to driving it.

Estimated April 2014 Delivery for mine and no idea yet as of spec/colour/stitching smile

So far I’m leaning towards Agate Grey (2nd choice Basalt Black)
Potentially either with Black Highgloss wheels

As for red stitching …. No clue
Something about the red reminds me too much of a gtr interior and not sure if it warrants another 800 of my pounds – then again, it does look good!

Others: NO CS, Alcantara package, Heated seats
Maybes: Cruise control, Red Stitching, Buckets

Just saw that also from porsche config.
what to do, what to do ?!?1?!

On another note:
Can you get a 4 point harness belt with bucket seats without a roll cage ?

Obviously you ditch the heated seats - the buckets suit the character of the car!

No, because the belts attach to the cage!

You can with what look like the same seats in the Turbo / TurboS.

Also, you can have heated buckets in the GT3 on the German site configurator.

Yes we are - but this is interesting and if true really annoying as personally I'm a great fan and advocate of a warm bum and as such In the name of European equality it should be available here too - if this isn't the case then I think we should quit the European Union - as simple as that ! smile

You can have heated buckets in a Cayman, seems odd that you can't in a GT3?
