It looks like the OPC wanted his GT3 and loan car, so can only assume he had it with him still.
Sorry I couldn't understand why he said he wanted his deposit returning, I think I confused myself LOL!

Finally got a call today from my OPC offering to buy my car back at list. Taken three weeks and needed lawyers involvement so not easy. Now negotiating the compensation deal, depending how that goes I hope to be out by the end of the month. It's a great car but cannot put up with the grief.
Crikey, I'm not aware of anybody that has been refused a full refund if they wanted it!!!

What mileage was on yours?

4K not that makes any difference to its fitness for purpose.
No I agree just wondered whether that was the motivation behind your dealers desire to do the right thing, as that is the only instance I am aware of not being offered a refund.

Oh well, have you got anything else planned, or are you going to enjoy your other toys!

They're all in a holding pattern until Porsche AG plays its hand, which must be this week surely ??
You'll be lucky they said three weeks, the way things have been going I really can't see anything happening any sooner than at the end of that period, I received my email on the 18th March that means the three week period begins around week commencing the 7th April, however some received their email earlier so whether they are communicating differently to the people who have received their cars to those of us with cars in Germany who knows, but that's the week I would expect some news personally.

Christ on a bike this is without doubt the worst purchasing experience of my life, this baby better be worth it!

While we're on the quality issues, there is currently an ongoing issue with new Boxsters and Caymans where its clear an accountant has overruled an engineer and a cheap plastic part has been fitted into the brake pedal assembly. If you've been driving around for an extended period of time with the heaters on then you get a PSM failure light and a Stop/Start failure followed by a cruise control failure. The VW rot has started to set in at Porsche...

..remember what happened when Chrysler started to meddle at Mercedes?
It does make you wonder, the wife's Boxster is not two years old yet and has started to develop gremlins, heater blowers packed up, now the memory seats don't work and there is also a recall on the clutch which they are doing, it's not giving me a great deal of confidence in the car with regards keeping it longer term!

The wife also said last night how much faster her loan Boxster was than her own car, which is really weird becuase she has 3.4 S and the loan car is 2.7, go figure??

Mmmmmm not good Richard, so what's everybodies opinion if our friends across the pond and in other areas of europe end up being compensated hand over fist and UK buyers are just expected to suck it up, which from what Richard has said appears to be the case!

My own opinion is to wait until the 7th April and then regroup, I am becoming less convinced that this compensation idea actually exists anywhere other than the imagination of individuals on internet forums!

Another day down!
