RS is already being delayed. And I don't see why they would decrease allocations.. How are they going to tell people that had their order accepted and confirmed that.. "Sorry sir we are not making them anymore". They will deliver all that had their deposit accepted and maybe stop there. I think decrease down to 140 is wishful thinking from the crowd having one sitting idle.

One week in and wow.
I am a shrinking violet and hate all the attention I am getting, well the car anyway
Thumbs up everywhere, people stopping to let me out at junctions, cars diving out of the way to let me past, people driving behind me with cameras etc.
Loving every second, and add to that the sheer driveability, and then hit the loud button, set to manual, flipping eck, this is by far the best I have ever owned or been in, and I have been in some nice kit.
McLaren, British design and British made.
Someone said to me yesterday that its the thinking mans supercar, well, I do not profess to be a thinking man, but thanks for the compliment
I am sure the GT3 is superb, but compared to this, sorry guys, no brainer, it is the ultimate supercar and for the price, why wouldn't you.
No offence anyone, I genuinely wanted the GT3 but was not prepared to wait, and nothing against Porsche.
A company run by human beings, guess what, we all make mistakes, give them some slack, they make superb machines, forget the damned politics and the whingeing about compensation. Heads will roll I'm sure, that's a person that will be losing a living.
Now, Le Mans, here we come, cant wait to see the 919, beautiful looking machine, that is what Porsche is about!
Apologies Ash and I really hope you don't take this the wrong way but for 'a shrinking violet' you seem to have been paying an awful lot of attention to others admiring your car. I am a shrinking violet and hate all the attention I am getting, well the car anyway

Well at the least the presentation of the car should already have been done.. All I have heard was that it had been put on hold until the GT3 debacle will be solved.. Which make sense as if you announce a more powerful version of an engine which self-destruct you are not doing yourself a favour
you have lost me....The launch date on the RS at least here in the UK has not moved. The GT3 issues has no bearing on the RS, time wise. Bums will be in seats before the end of the year....

Just some updated info that I found out from Porsche today. I'm hoping you guys can get the same info in the UK.
I just got off the phone with PCNA. I called the 800-PORSCHE. Pushed the prompts for concierge and then spoke to a nice girl named Jenny.
She told me my car is definitely 2015 production. She gave me a case number and the person handling my case. (So I got that going for me. Which is nice. hahaha)
I asked her to let my Sales Rep. know this since he said PAG was not giving this info out. I asked her when I could expect to re-enter my build specifics for 2015
and she could not answer that at this time as PAG is trying to get the engine swap issue settled first.
My original build date was to exit production April 11 and delivery May 9. All those dates went blank last week and was replaced with a V170 code. PAG Handling Necessary.
Now I have new color to think about. In any case my car will be here later than expected but it will be MY2015.
PAG has a list of all cars that will be moved to MY2015. My dealer rep was no help at all. He denied there was a list, which I figured was a load of commie bull.
Hopefully PAG will give us a better date for production of 2015s soon.
strange, i had pretty much same time line as you( may 2nd) , but mine was later updated to june 13th deliveryI just got off the phone with PCNA. I called the 800-PORSCHE. Pushed the prompts for concierge and then spoke to a nice girl named Jenny.

Your delivery time is shorter. Mine is about 3 weeks from Zuffenhausen. So I suspect you were ahead of me. I think they drew the line in the sand for MY2014 cars at around 1000 cars. Just a guess really. So it will be interesting if yours is a 2014 or 2015. I don't think I will get a car until July - Sept. now.BTW I spoke today to my OPC.. take with a pinch of salt of course b/c they would of course talk their book... BUT out of all the GT3 they had delivered (I believe around 5) only one has been rejected and owner reimbursed at the invoice price. Allegedly they have already sold it for above list (+10k I was told) despite the fact it can't be driven. A chap who had not secured an allocation but was on waiting list just went for it.
Other than that absolutely no news whatsoever about when production will start again of course.
Quick one for you to lighten up the atmosphere on here.. I still have this dilemma with the stitching.. and with availability of further options when they resume production would make it even worse.. on a plain WHITE car with PCCB.. would you go for :
- Platinum stitching to match the White of the car..
- Yellow stitching to match the PCCBs (but its a white car.. not sure about yellow stitching)
- Get PCCB calipers repainted RED (850gbp job at OPC) and RED Stitching which looks great on videos/pictures
- Get PCCB calipers repainted Black (850gbp job at OPC) and RED Stitching..
Other than that absolutely no news whatsoever about when production will start again of course.

Personally I'd go with yellow stitching / yellow belts, but I don't believe that yellow stitching will be available. If not, standard stitching and yellow belts still looks great (same as my car).Other than that absolutely no news whatsoever about when production will start again of course.

Given the above, I certainly wouldn't pay anything (let alone £850) to paint the calipers! That £850 can be much better used for driver training etc!
Otherwise I'd go with red stitching / belts and ignore the fact that the stitching and calipers don't match.

Mine is white with PCCB's currently sticking with the platinum stitching, but with Yellow belts and floor mats with yellow edging. Would quite fancy the yellow stitching but not so sure its available. I really wouldnt paint my callipers, Yellow is the colour of PCCB.Other than that absolutely no news whatsoever about when production will start again of course.

For me:
Black = crap
Red = half decent
Yellow =
Green = Hybrid
