What's the other recall?!
" There is a stop sale recall regarding sump bolts but your car is not affected.

There is however another new recall we were informed about last night which does affect your car, but we do not yet have details of what is involved."

It's a long way to Australia but I just got the call from my OPC....

Hopefully the latest campaign issue doesn't delay delivery too much.

Pics to come of course. smile

Look forward to the pics mhh, I've ordered Sapphire Blue with delivery in April, not locked down yet so keen to see some pics before I press the button.

Applies to all cars build after a certain date, as I understand it.

My car has been at the dealer for a couple of weeks now - apparently is not affected by this issue, but is affected by another recall...
frown

As of yesterday, they still hope to allow me to collect on 1st March...

2 issues now - I have to say - not great ! Sidicks , do you know what the "certain date " is ? smile

Is that good or bad???.....confused

Saw one in GT silver today....looks simply stunning if you don't mind the extra cost.

Would also confirm at least 2 local OPCs have 4 cars which cannot be released.....tumbleweed

If I knew that I'd definitely tell you!

I'm just basing that on the fact that my car is (apparently) unaffected by the sump issue (but is affected by the unknown other issue), and was only delivered towards the end of Jan.

Even half covered in plastic, the Sapphire looks stunning - I'm very happy. There was an Agate dealer launch car on the same truck which looked drab (OK, stealthy) by comparison.

Like everyone else, I can't get my hands on the car until this current campaign is sorted. My dealer doesn't know yet what the holdup is. The car is booked for PDI on Monday but I bet I won't get it then.

Spoke to an two different OPCs yesterday and today and no mention of delays
Mind you they both said that Porsche don't communicate down the line as they fix problems before delivery, not after
Is anyone about to cancel given all the rumours??

Now dont you guys get all hysterical like the girls over at Rennlist!

There is no issue slowing down the release of new customer cars unaffected by the transmission oil cooler bolt/bracket replacement. Its a software patch that dealers have been waiting on now for 3-4 days from PAG. I dont know much more so please dont ask. It only affects approximately 30-40 cars globally (i.e. a short part of the production week).

There are a few "chicken lickins" out there, try not to be one. There is one official bulliten on the cra being early build thermostat check and replace. There is now an advisory for bolt and bracket (apparently a very small component) due to a batch issue or torque issue on production line (still being ascertained). There has to the best of my knowledge been 2 reported issue of fire out of well over 500 GT3 now delivered globally to customers hands. The Stop Sale is to prevent any cars getting to customers hands until Porsche have document the tech procedure and delivered the replacement bracket and bolt.

It really doesnt need tom be hysterical guys. There alot of blokes on this board already have their car and ta least 2 that have now done some decent mileage including a few track days (infact I think Bigmoley is up to 5000 miles almost already!). Hey that includes me I did 3500mkm around Europe in December with a factory fresh car without issues and as there was 1500 km of fast road driving where I want hanging around as evidenced on my youtubes....none of us a single significant issue - must be 20+ cars on here delivered already??????????????

Come on. Give it a chance.

Cheers Sidicks , hope mine is OK too as it arrived a week or so before yours - Macca , thanks for your update too - I'm sure it's fine , just would be nice for them to release the batch that was affected so we could count ourselves in or out , that's all - not brilliantly managed IMHO smile
