Porsche "Colour to Sample" Examples
Discussion
Bit of a thread revival.......I have a Cayman GTS on order and have decided to go with a PTS colour........Buuut I'm REALLY worried about choosing the wrong colour!!
The only GTS picture in a PTS I can find is this one;
Which looks great but not sure what blue it is? Ipanema maybe?
However, the colour I REALLY want, and is what the car is currently ordered in, is the Acid/Birch/Light Green code 253 which is the same colour as the Panamera Hybrid break caliper colour. In some pictures it looks amazing, in others I'm not sure;
A little concerned that, whilst the extreme RS cars look good in extravagant colours, that it may be a little too much for a GTS?
I'm spending an unhealthy amount of time deliberating this!

The colour on that Turbo S is flipping awesome, I'd imagine it would look equally as good on a GTS. Do it. Do it now The only GTS picture in a PTS I can find is this one;

The problem is that the PTS order book doesn't open again until January so I've still got 2-3 months to change my mind, which I'm doing daily with my Wife begging me to go Riviera Blue rather than the "snot" colour I'm currently going with!!

Sure it'll be worth the wait. When you look at the money you can spend on other extras PTS is a comparative bargain when it comes to ensuring exclusivity - You just have to be prepared to wait for it.The problem is that the PTS order book doesn't open again until January so I've still got 2-3 months to change my mind, which I'm doing daily with my Wife begging me to go Riviera Blue rather than the "snot" colour I'm currently going with!!
If I had the money to order a new Porsche, my old favourite colour of Maritme Blue would be on my list. Riviera and Mexico blues sure look great too though.

You are right about the cost. I had PCCB's on my initial spec until I gave my head a wobble on the basis that the car will never see a track, so I swapped out PCCB's for PTS paint AND bucket seats for LESS money that the PCCB's!! I decided that the colour and seats mean't more to me than a lack of brake dust!If I had the money to order a new Porsche, my old favourite colour of Maritme Blue would be on my list. I'd get the carbon brakes too. Wouldn't have advised this 7-8 yrs ago but the tech has really improved. You will get some of the outlay back when you sell the car and if on finance its probably another £20 per month more to have them. The snot colour with buckets are brill!!! You only live once - spec it the way you want without worrying about a few quid here or there!
Whilst I of course agree, £5k on PCCB's is a bit more than a few quid and would take my spec north of £77k!!Sarnie said:

Not much of a difference really but no harm asking for a 5-10% discount ye know. If you don't ask.....
