1000 miles, full PPF, track exhaust (boxed), full harnesses fitted, first service done ... and significantly less that the price you mention ...
Well, I hung on for Lotus to launch the Exige V6 convertible. Went for the test drive with great hopes. It was FAST!! However, many of us have requirements of a road car that go beyond just FAST!! even if accompanied by some toys like driving-god harnesses to show off at the pub.I drove straight to the Porsche dealership, tested a 981 S and placed my order. That's now 8 years ago and I've never regretted the decision for one second.
IMO people who moan about the gear ratios have never truly experienced the car. Performance in second gear is spectacular, and somewhere between second and third gears most road driving situations are beautifully covered. And if you don't like those gears there's another four to choose from...

People who like the oem gear ratios have never truly driven anything better.
On the plus side ignorance’s is bliss.

If you think full harnesses are cosmetic, I invite you to a passenger ride in my car on track.I drove straight to the Porsche dealership, tested a 981 S and placed my order. That's now 8 years ago and I've never regretted the decision for one second.

The GT4 is giving over 1.40G laterally and over 1.3G under braking ... in fact even with full harnesses checked and tight, my suggestion to passengers is ... both feet on the floor, both hands on knees ..
It is my responsibility to ensure that the safety provision for my passengers is at least as good as I would expect for myself ... and it is much harder being in the trusting passenger seat ...

No passenger in here ....
