Lol I'm up reading all the threads on the American forums mainly because there was a lot of people against the new 991 GT3. Personally if you can get over the fact that it's not manual anymore this is going to be an epic vehicle to own.

Now I'd like the order books to go mad and ill be a happy mansmile

Firstly - hats off to Mr Harris - great review , really enjoyed it !

Now down to business : I'm delighted , I am not interested in a manual , I would have ordered PDK even if a manual were available. I realise that this is heresy to the majority of the people on the forum , but for me , a must have for a daily driver (as mine will be) . I think I am exactly the target market that he was referring to and , to me , as I don't want a manual , it looks simply awesome , I really can't wait. My only concern now is colour choice ; Silver looked much better in the video than in the stills that I had previously seen - may now win over white - decisions , decisions ??

Roll on November !!

Didn't they say that when the GTR came out? Doesn't necessarily make it a better drivers' car.

That mirrors my thoughts on both colour choice and PDK gearbox!!

Stop it! Rhodium Silver is my colour - I chose it first.

I loved the review. It really works for me as both a daily driver and a track car.
Definitely needs to be driven like you stole it.
I think my favourite part is the engine - sounds epic.

I am immensely impressed with the way that Porsche have made a portly rear engined car handle like a mid engined car.

The encryption of what Chris Harris described ... ?

Roll on the Cayman GT4 --- for this will take nothing away from this GT3 --- it will just be smaller smile

And around country lanes I for one, love little ones smile

My guess is a fair amount of people will find out exactly the depth of their bag of talent.

Raising the limits of a car is impressive but if you have do carry big speed to get near them you're raising the stakes of either having a significant off or risking your ticket.

I'd still have one despite the frustration of it being beyond my skill.

I don't get Chris Harris' logic - why do they need demand to be ~3X higher by introducing a PDK box when they would always, and have always, sold out of the GT3 quickly anyway. It has a limited production run so can only mean more disappointed people with deposits down who won't get cars.

And that G-meter - oh dear, how delightfully chav.

That was a road test - did yours under steer on the road? You must drive very quickly indeed!

The understeer is an interesting point, but the comments are rather de ja vue. Harris said the same thing about the gen 2.

Stunning looks, great noise. Doubt I'd ever buy one even if I had the cash though as they're heading the way of the Skyline, an awesome technical tour de force that flatters its driver but I just can't get away with PDK and it all looks a bit too luxurious for what was once a race car for the road. Porsche know their market though and I know lots on here are excited.

Great vid. Harris deserves his wages alright!

It's difficult not to be seduced by the car, but I'm not sure I'd pay £100k for it. A used 997 gt3 looks like amazing value by comparison.
