They wanted £4500 for 996 PSE last time I asked.
I would speak to Portsmouth or Exeter OPC's. They do some cracking deals on PSE retrofit. Fitted mine for £1800 and I kept the original exhaust.

Of course im biased towards my PSE 996 C4S, i dont think you can get a better sounding 996/997 but i intend to upgrade to a 997 by end of year but its the exhaust noise that concerns me. All the 997's ive heard just dont seem to have that much presence but the GTS does sound different and in my opinion as close as mine in sound terms. My 2 choices at the moment is the GTS and a 997 Turbo. Before anyone says "Turbo noise? You wont like that then!", yes i agree but if you get the chance to own a Turbo then i think you take the opportunity.
Speaking of next cars, ive just seen in a local good garage a £37k 06 plate Aston Martin Vantage......i wish i hadnt!!!

Its funny looking over old posts that you forget about.....in the end i sold the 996 C4S, didnt go to a 997 and ended up with a Manual 4.7 V8 Vantage with the fuse removed as i picked it up from Aston Martin Works!! Now this thing has a good sound!!!

I don't see the point of PSE. If it gave you more power then yes, I'd have one. But no, it just makes a better noise. What a waste. Now, some Fuchs alloys.................
I didn't either

Until I tried one

I agree with tom partially (we had this debate when he bought my car ) ok I have had the following:
997 gen 1 with sport exhaust .... Awesome! Agree with tom
997 gen 2 without (boring sound and retro fitted from OPC silverstone on a deal paid £1800 in 2011) a good sound but not as good as the gen 1 still worth the upgrade the sound of a std porsche engine IMHO
997 gen 2 without ( again upgraded looked at moving the PSE from one car to another but this is v expensive as there are lots of vaccuum valves and pipes so it's about 7 hours for each car so 700 OPC or 400 for an inde... FOR EACH! Paid £1400 for the exhaust and £400 to fit it may 2014, I think the indi got it from Byfleet and of course left my warranty intact...)

Hope this helps PM me for more info. Simmo
