Have you tried Porschapart (Porsche breakers who supply bits by mail order), or any of the other companys that advertise in 911 and Porsche world.

Also who is your nearest independent Porsche specialist ? They may be able to supply and fit that part for less than you have been quoted.

Berlyn services list a centre box for pre 88 at £35 and Porscheshop list the centre box at £104. I believe the front section is actually the downpipe so make sure you know what you need

Porscheshop also list a full performance system in stainless for £475
