Is there a regular GT2 due or are they jumping straight to the RS then?
In this market there will be plenty if demand for RS kind of stuff and perhaps they have decided to go for the higher volume in the higher profit item that will also be a match for the high power Ferrari and McLarens. [/quote
My understanding is that the people who get these Halo cars will be decided not by the sales staff, managers or even DP's more that potential customers will be audited by Managing Directors to ensure that everything is done to keep the "flippers" car less. Time will tell though I genuinely believe Porsche are urging the dealer network to comply with this new procedure.

2000?
If they go straight to RS for the GT2 that would be a little high (even though I am sure they would sell them this time). There were actually very few 997 GT2 and the 997 GT2 RS only 500. Can you imagine though a 991 GT2 RS with the PDK-S, RWS and around 650 BHP..monster!!!topboss said:
Will be interesting to see what the total allocation is given the VIP program for US 918 buyers. Safe to say the vast majority will want a GT2 RS!
I don't know the total allocation but I know that the regular customers of OPCs who feel through and didn't get a 911R will be first on the list for a GT2 RS if they want one.swimd said:

Indeed. Was offered a GT2RS slot by my OPC after "management" had allocated the R to another client. As much as an animal the GT2RS is going to be, I love NA engines and passed on itDr S said:

Those who missed out on the 991RS were offered a R.And now the GT2RS is in the frame.
Clearly Porsche are trying to spread the joy. Do wonder which one of the 3 will prove the most desirable in years to come- I suspect the R but the shadow of the 991.2GT3 manual looms large.

Luckily for myself that's not the case. Luckily I secured a 991RS and my dealers only 991R allocation. After talking to the DP the allocation of such cars is down to him. And now the GT2RS is in the frame.

Strange question, but would any RS owners be interested in swapping their sports buckets seats (foldable) and some cash for our fixed buckets?
Might be worth asking the GT4 boys as the fixed buckets were unavailable for a while so some had to go with the folding buckets. I'm assuming mountings etc are the same.BubblesNW said:

Why what's wrong with them?
It's a simple thing really. The seat runners aren't spring loaded forward and my GF is paralysed (it's her car), so she can't move the seat forward on her own. The Carbon sports seats are spring loaded forward and therefore allowing her to drive on her own, not needing me or anyone else to push the seat forward.Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
