With the 991 front spoiler design the risk to damaging the front PU is higher than the 997. Front lift is the first option I selected on my GT3.
To prevent damage just remember to raise the car, fail to see how you blame the system if its operator error!
I was joking ! To prevent damage just remember to raise the car, fail to see how you blame the system if its operator error!

Dale is watching to see if there is a record attempt tomorrow with the Ring closed
With flugplatz being restricted now at least for tf laps (or at least it was on thurs) after the nismo crash, any record attempt i am guessing will only happen later in the year. Well assuming the industry pool laps are facing the same speed/width restrictions which they might not i suppose. Circuit days have a trackday next week, Wonder if they will have any restrictions there.....Edited by isaldiri on Saturday 25th April 00:10

Bit more info from a further chat with a german instructor at spa who has some Porsche factory links. Trackdays are still thankfully full speed but there is supposed to be an 'advisory' limit there, tf and various running were only limited for a few days for some construction work. The vln races are of course gps recorded speed limited but i guess nothing to prevent a proper record run. Seems the factory are very confident in the car.....Edited by isaldiri on Saturday 25th April 21:17

So anyone tempted by the light grey/black interior ??
Yes will go for this as all black is just too dark and depressing. The alternative Lava Orange interior is only available with Lave Orange exterior which I won`t be choosing. However I am still hoping that Porsche Exclusive with do me a red/black interior with a guards red exterior. All a bit yesterday I suppose but its my lucky colour.Carrerakev said:
Interesting to see all the comments re options, weight etc. so the lifting gear is 6.5kg! assume you guys are all in the gym 7 days a week becuase the biggest weight saving I think I can make is to get myself down by 10 kegs!!!!
You are of course absolutely right and running with a light fuel load would also make a vast difference compared to
6.5 KG of lifting gear. However losing 13kg of high level weight by opting for the Lithium Battery must be worth considering.

I see from an article in the latest Christophorus magazine:
'The RS is not limited, but until the production window closes in spring 2016, a maximum of two thousand units will find their way to happy new owners'.
There may still be hope of getting one?
Is that not more than double 991, GT3's, thought there was around 800 built?
