Ok cheers may pop and have a look - do you know if it's open to the public or an unveil , invite only as per the GT3 ?

There should be quite a few on public roads in Europe before then - plenty of pics of cars hooning around Stuttgart AFAIK.

It was a bit tricky to nail down a firm delivery date at the factory, which I needed for a planned itinerary, but with a lot of cooperation from Porsche it is locked in. LO,ready to go,Sep 2. By then of course all will be known, all the reviews, all of the owner comments, the track vids and so on, so hopefully I will know more in detail about what to expect, the high and low points, anything to watch for.

There are many journalists, but I want to read Harris, Andrew Frankel, the German review hopefully from Horst von Sauma, and see the full detailed Sport Auto review with all of the Ring numbers, and so on. Despite thousands of posts, numerous threads and sites, I am still looking forward to having a good advance feel. Of course, nothing can beat getting into a brand new car and just driving and driving. My last 2RS was delivered at factory and I only had two weeks, but before I left Germany I had 3700Km on it. With this one I will have three weeks, so will spend some days just gently breaking it in,lots of variation, probably an unnecessary oil change, and might even end up with a tire change like I did with my .1RS after a week....so might manage 5000km in Europe before it gets to Canada.I do not care about high mileage.

I remember seeing you in your white/red 7.2RS at the ring back then. I'm over at Spa & Ring this September so I'll keep an eye out for you again!

Will be at the am Tiergarten where I always stay from September 15 to about the 21st so no doubt the occasional ale might be had at the Pistenklausesmile

Those tyres are huge. Can't wait to see one. Didn't see any at the Ring and none so far in Stuttgart. Did see a 918 in the garage though.

Unless €millions gets it right for once, not in the market. Absolutely love Orange, but . . . . leaning towards Purple.

A lot of people like the purple. I am sticking with the orange for mine though.

Just watched the Harris video. It looks like a fantastic car. I can't imagine what it must be like to be in the position of buying such a thing. Hope you all enjoy them!

Spec'd mine as Purple with Black Wheels but am now leaning towards silver for the wheel colour.

Will stay purple unless PTS becomes available, I have been told by the end May/early June I should know what the situation is.

Defo silver wheels. Black makes them invisible.
