I have seen a GT3RS in the flesh in Lava Orange. Looks sensational! Needs black wheels and lower mirror stalks to complete the look. Throw in an Orange roll bar, Seat belts and some interior trim Orange accents and you have got a stunning car. We all like different things; maybe some of us want to sneak about unoticed. I for one have gone down the road of having understated colours on Astons now I have a Porsche I feel so different. My GT3 is red which I personally think is one of the best colours. If I could have an RS the same I would not hesitate.
Can you believe that Guards Red is not available. Its a no charge standard colour on every other 911 as well as Boxster and Cayman. Its been a standard colour for years and yet Porsche they will not do Guards Red even if I pay them the £3000 PTS charge. I can`t understand it. They won`t even give me a sensible reason why? Red is a great colour for a GT3 and should be available for a GT3RS. Guards Red is so solid reliable never looks faded or washed out in any light. Doesn`t show the dirt and contrasts the black trims really well. Porsche have decided its the year of the orange. Well I don`t want to be all oranged up. If I wanted orange I would get a Ford Focus. Neither do I want GT Silver already have a silver 911 Turbo Cab and its a classy colour but not for me suitable for a GT3RS. UV is interesting but again not a sporty colour.
It`s all a bit of a mess really.

Looks like Sheffield. I was there yesterday as well. Car was near the window - so hopefully reflected what it'll be like to sun light - looked really good!

Did they take it outside for you though, would always recommend seeing in its natural habitat. Haven't seen it myself, but many have commented on it looking washed out in day light.

Lava Orange GTS in showroom at OPC Edinburgh, also Lava Orange GTS outside in compound, natural light aplenty. Can't have too much of a good thing!

My god that is stunning.Love the look of the GT3 and the RS.
Surprised about the Guards Red no go above. I heard that some paints didn't reflect or match very well against the different materials for some of the panels..but guards that's a classic Porsche colour!!!

Guards Red not properly tested on the magnesium roof maybe?

I saw the GT silver RS at Swindon yesterday, looks pretty stunning apart from the wheels in silver which looked a bit light to me.

Very probably a daft question but it looks like there is additional black scaffolding in the back . Is that correct. Plus I would be interesstedto know the cost of the front roll cage as well.

The white does not look good, but I am curious so see if there is an attractive stripe setup for the 991RS.
