Definitely orange for the launch colour. No sticker/decals as I understand it. Much deeper orange than the 7.1..more tangerine.

Blut Orange ( Blood Orange/Tangerine ) the colour Porsche told me was not technically possible to do when I ordered my 997 Gen 2.RS. Basterdds !

the car I saw was white, with a 4.0 style band, over the raised bonnet and roof parts...

My understanding is it will be quite conservative... orange, white, (no band), silver, and a very interesting metallic black.Evidently production delays might change this, and as is usually the case, no PTS for the first model year.

I saw a white one in Feb, if you look at the Spy shots you can see the band covered over. I have no idea about other colours, I do know that there are no production delays.....

Well. not long now till launch so should be interesting. I will do Euro delivery (live in Canada) as usual,hopefully May/June 2015 to catch the 24 at Nurburg, as I did with my .2RS.

Bob Rouleau on Rennlist reporting "The 991 RS is a 4.0 liter normally aspirated engine. That's official."

Chatting with an OPC over the weekend over this, and he mentioned that they're no longer able to sell the GT3 next year due to the engine not passing emissions.

Assuming that's true (I don't know if we ever actually got to the bottom of those rumours), then the only way to make the RS pass emissions would be to strap a couple of turbos to it. That would make it quicker AND more eco-friendly, and would also make a lot of sense with the spy shots.

Again, on the assumption that's correct, where that would leave the GT2/RS I have no idea.

From what ive heard this is true (The reason why no 991.2 GT3?)

However is this not also the reason why the 991 RS needs to be released this year??. As it wouldnt pass 2015 regs

Blood orange is what I have also. Definitely s slightly uprated version of the GT3 engine. No mezger, no turbo.

Who knows.... What I can confirm is I wont be getting one since my local OPC probably used my LOI as toilet roll and pretty much told me I had more chance of getting a reach around from Andreas Preuninger.
