Prospective 991 GT3 RS Owners discussion forum.
Discussion
I started this thread, can't remember when ( I just looked it up, it's over two years ago ). I would think most potential owners would be like me in that they will keep the car for a good while and drive it for their own enjoyment. And like many owners on here I will share that experience with other PH'rs at the 2016 RS Oulton day, did that with the "Hulk" 2010 RS. Lot's of Pax laps. Spoke to God ( Melv Spear ) yesterday re Oulton 2016, only six months left we hope. it's not the best track day, it's more than that , it's life.

Agree, they look massive - also amazing how they squeezed that rear wheel into the rear wheel arch
Agreed, it does make one do a 2nd take at the lack of clearance on the rears in particular. They do really sound chuffing awesome and the guys here say inside the car it sounds equally good....isaldiri said:

I am holing back on detailed comment as I am doing something for a mag, but it exceeds my expectations in every way. Have already rallied it on mountain roads, run a couple of thousand km in Germany and am heading for the Nordschliefe. One thing about the weeks...you need to be very precise when parking. Many lots have barely adequate clearance..RDMcG said:

Oh come on spill the beans - they'll never know wtdoom said:
Think you need a word with your Porsche Zentrum , I know of several PTS RS's
I tried to go PTS , there was a lot of confusion about it and to cut a long story short , my understanding is , it was pulled relatively early on for all orders that were not finalised due to excessive demand on the RS / complexity of various surface painting challenges - so yes lots of early orders got PTS . This of course may be OPC hot air , but lots on here had similar experience - either way , not at all bothered as I really like LO and based on my brief time in the car , I don't care what colour it is RDMcG said:

Hope the weather holds up for you. The last 2-3 days here were just absolutely perfect.RSVP911 said:

I went PTS and there was a lot of confusion . I had one of the first cars confirmed due to 918 and asked for PTS . There was a rumour it would happen so I asked for car to be pushed back . Then there was a conformation of PTS but it was available for only a short period of time . I just got my spec in a couple of weeks ago with PTS confirmed but it was a vary strange and confusing process . Fwiw I went fashion grey wtdoom said:

Sounds nice , I guess PTS is perfectly achievable but they are trying not to to it if possible and as you've proved , if you are resilient enough , push hard enough or are a 918 customer , you'll get it - I must admit I wasn't that fussed as the colour I wanted (Tangerine (Blood Orange)) wasn't on the approved list and as such, I kind of gave up and went LO - I was also trying to behave as I didn't want to give my OPC any grief as I was just delighted that I got an allocation mdianuk said:
Wow, Faster than a 458 Speciale ! I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the time to come up. Simply cannot wait for ours to arrive. Roll on Monday so that we can drive one. RSVP911 said:

Thanks , I agree no big deal ( I was going to go white ) . I think what also helped was I knew there was going to be PTS and I had a very very early request in . The cars a cracker , that's the main thing I think .Only really mentioned the PTS becaus Mr Matrixx raised the point
