Quite a few PTS's - costs about £3k more, but what is the consensus about whether these cars will attract premiums as they have done for the 997 versions.

Green & Blue seem popular - anyone gone for yellow?

Richard you can add me now if you want PTS -- Guards Red (PCCB`S)Platinum Wheels

Will PTS attract a premium --depends whether the colour you have is a colour that someone else out there really wants. Chances are you will be trading it in anyway for the 991.2 RS
in two years time.

I think so no delivery date as yet but order has been accepted. You would be my best indicator on this. Our cars were ordered very close together time wise so if you now have a locked in build and del date then yes I am delayed. I fear it may be spring next year before it arrives we will see. Has anyone else with PTS got a del date yet?

After I confirmed my PTS order in the first week of July, my dealer rang to offer a build date of December 2015 if I wished to go with a standard colour. I opted to stay with PTS and was told that it would probably delay build until May 2016. I haven't heard anything since then except when I enquired about three weeks ago I was told that the dealer thought that the build scheduling for 2016 hadn't been done yet - so no real news here.

My original car was to be white and I was told September build October delivery.
Since I have gone to PTS there is no information available at all other than a confirmation that the order has been accepted. Seems you are experiencing a similar scenario. In real terms its nor really a problem as spring time is a better time to collect but May is a little further on than I think we would like. Early April would be ideal for me. Lets hope they can get some extra staff in the paint booth to speed things up. hahah.

I have also ordered PTS, and from an original build date of dec 15, mine also has been delayed, with dates of March or April as likely date now, although nothing official. (UK car)

Also, this morning I have been on a Stuttgart factory tour, plenty of GT3RS cars coming down the line, all standard 4 colours. Was told no PTS or other 3 colours being made yet, other than Porsche owned or special cars.
UV looks really good
Lava, a bit boring
GT silver, special but discreet
White, boring
:-)

Anyone else on November build ? If so have you been given a confirmed week build number? Also what's this about order has been accepted? At what stage are you told that? just being paronoid I guess!

Car magazine in their November issue have just declared the GT3RS to be their car of the year! Which is nice!

Starts with a car being allocated to you. For the GT3RS this is down to the dealer. The dealer gets allocated a number of them based on its previous sales.

Order being accepted is when

Your specification is accepted i.e. if you wanted PTS colour they will need to approve it.
Your dealer puts you specification into the slot allocated to a car and then Porsche approve it or not. If not you have to alter the spec to one that they will accept. i.e. a colour they are prepared to paint it in

Next step is when you get a call from your dealer informing you of a build date and a date at which you can no longer alter any options i.e. you couldn`t add say ceramics or change the seat option etc.

They will only give you a build date like 2nd week in October for instance not a del date as this depends on the time that car takes to be transported from Stuttgart to the port across the channel and to the dealer.

Interesting to see that he had to spend close to another £100,000 to get a car that could sit with the RS lap time! Well done Porsche again, game set and match.
The next GT2 RS will eat the 650s, and will still cost less.

Checked with OPC today as I still do not have a week number for my November build car. Told that there is currently a delay on RS and GT4 builds. Even October builds have now not been given a confirmed week number. Status currently with mine is Order Accepted but no more. Anybody else been told similar?

I was told today 2nd November build, it was always November so no delay they're aware of.
