Hi Rob

My GT4 went into the body shop (V260) beginning of last week with a build completion of 21 October. Spoke to dealer yesterday and it still not completed. Not sure if this helps?

This is all a bit weird then. Understand that I could worry for Britain though that was what I was told. Even said that October build GT4's still have no week number.

Really wonder what is going on.

See below, the various status points in the build - might be worth probing where your car is in this process?

Thanks Giles, My order status is at acceptance level with a projected November build. I believe and trust my OPC totally. They have RS and GT4 orders all of which are at the same stage as mine. They need those cars to be delivered as much as I would like to take delivery.

Molly my wife is waiting for a Polo GTI to arrive, ironically its arrival has been brought forward. I must therefore surmise that poor old VAG is in a state of upheaval. Can't imagine why!

Sure miss my GT3 !

I've just seen a Lava RS in Helmsley coming from the Stokesley/Helmsley TT. Fair play for taking it out in the rotten weather we've got here. In the dull light it looked proper orange (almost 997RS Orange) so maybe it only looks salmony pink in bright sunlight or under artificial light? PHer Life Of Riley, possibly?

My GT4 is also CS with LWB with a build date of the week beginning 16th November - so hopefully the delays are easing a little...

Checked with OPC today as I still do not have a week number for my November build car. Told that there is currently a delay on RS and GT4 builds. Even October builds have now not been given a confirmed week number. Status currently with mine is Order Accepted but no more. Anybody else been told similar?
Hi Rob,
These seems to be the case with GT4 as well.
Status order cannot be changed
November build, December delivery BUT no definite dates either way.
Porsche are introducing new build status tracking software for OPC's soon but not sure when.
As per all things Porsche GT cars at the moment, it will happen, but they ain't telling the dealers exactly when .

Interesting to see that he had to spend close to another £100,000 to get a car that could sit with the RS lap time! Well done Porsche again, game set and match.
The next GT2 RS will eat the 650s, and will still cost less.
Didn't the 991 RS match the lap time of the 991 Turbo S?

It did at Anglesey yes, and with cup tyres it would knock half a sec of the RS time no doubt. The question comes down to how much involvement, fun and emotion from each car, the debate over which is quicker around a track is certainly settled IMO.

Rather than the expensive 650S on standard rubber as tested by Chris it would be more interesting to see the similar priced 570S on trackday rubber against the GT3 RS for lap times.

If you want one!

I just been told by my OPC that they are getting a further/additional allocation of 2 extra cars (gt3rs) next year and that they think that this will be repeated across all OPCs.
So if you missed out on one it might be worth pestering your nearest OPC.

Just heard from my OPC that my RS scheduled for Nov 2015 production is now a Jan 2016 build. Reason given was lack of available seats , both full bucket and reclining bucket.

Feck no! Mine is supposedly leaving the factory on the 23rd November. Are you sure? Don't really wish to ring my OPC just yet.

I did'nt have a build date, just a month but I felt that since they were slow to lock me in and or look for further money things were not good. I thought the seats issue was sorted ?
