Anyone else get Dunlops on theirs, any feedback on them ??
Yes i got Dunlops on mine and after 1600 miles and one track day i actually think that they wear better than the Michelin Pilot Sport that i have on my 4.0. Traction is superb as with the Michelins. Edited by hornbaek on Friday 13th November 10:34
UV. I love this colour! Wish I could turn back time and PTS it on the GT4.

Thanks, looking forward to trying them out.Edited by hornbaek on Friday 13th November 10:34
Well I took mine for its first proper blast very early this morning and I have to say , it's an awesome piece of kit ! I really must disagree in the strongest terms with those people who say it's too fast on the roads , they're talking horse sh*t . Of course you can never release its true potential on a road , that's what race tracks are for , but that by no means means it's not a hoot on the road , as it really is just that . Although the RS looks huge on the outside , it feels the complete opposite when you drive it ; it wraps it's self around you and is unbelievably communicative , nimble and agile (I know it has tech that means it isn't as communicative as the old ones , but at my humble level , I really can't tell - I've driven new and old and they both feel bloody good to me) To me , it feels enormously special at all speeds and I am really lucky that I managed to get one.
I can see why people flip these cars , it's just such a shame as they are amazing things and it must be heartbreaking to have one on your drive and never drive it . However Flippers beware : DO NOT DRIVE YOUR RS , it will damage your bank balance as you may just find that after experiencing it , you may find selling it very difficult indeed

Hi Terry , hope you are well , are you still enjoying the 3 ? Well , in answer to your question - very early days yet , but here goes.
First things first - I loved my 3 , it was and is an awesome piece of work ! So on to the RS ; in truth is very much like the 3 in terms of its core characteristics , it just more , well , more .
So firstly the noise is immense and it's everything that I was expecting from the 3 , but this was initially missing , it did however arrive on the 3 once the SWBP was fitted - this isn't needed on the RS , as it comes like this straight out of the box , plus you get a little treat , as there is an extra induction "whoosh" sound to add to the normal flat 6 aural grunt - it's just lovely.
Whilst we're on noise , the drivetrain is quieter and less clunky than the 3 - I was expecting the opposite - the noises are still present but less so.
I know it's been said before but the front end grip and accuracy of turn in is better than the 3 , which I thought would be impossible as the 3 is bloody good in this respect - as is the feeling of power though the gears - again very much like the 3 but more effortless , more torque low down , giving a feeling of limitless power right through the rev range - again I never once got out of the 3 and thought , you know what I wish it was faster , but the RS is and , in truth , because of this it feels more special - it doesn't mean you have to drive faster in it , it just feels more responsive and alive at all speeds . I may be imaging it , but I think the gear changes are quicker too .
So I need , to be balanced here - the 3 is awesome and I would happily have either , but if I was allowed to choose , I'd take the RS for special occasions / the occasional blast . This brings me onto the point about balance : I used my 3 as a daily and took it to work as often as I could. It was a bit flash and it got lots of comments from work colleges, but I got away with it (just) I've had the RS for a week now and it hasn't gone anywhere near work - not because I'm being mileage precious, I couldn't give a sh*t in this respect , but because it's bright orange with a wing the size of a house : 99 % of the population will look at my RS and think it's quite simply the most ridiculous car they've ever seen and you know what , they'd be right ! However , if like me , you are in the 1 % of the population that sees something else , then you'll see a car like I do , a car that's simply , the most epic , fit for purpose , scalpel sharp , driving weapon there is (IMHO) - Just need to pluck up enough courage to start using it as my work daily !

Rich, that's great news. I'm loving my 3 and it's going into JZM next week for a proper track set-up with proper camber, etc. I'm back on track at Silverstone on 6th Dec and looking forward to that. Actually I'm taking a morning drive up to Silverstone tomorrow for brekkie at 0900 - there will be other 3s and RS's there if you fancy it?
