Is there anyone on here that would be able to measure the width of the car at the wheels ( front and or rear, whichever is widest ). I've just heard mine is coming on 4th Jan 2016 and want to collect it on my BJ Trailer so need to be sure it will fit or not ? I would resort to taking the factory stated width but want to be very sure. Thanks in advance. Answer in milimetres please.

Reason I ask that is that IIRC on the 7.2 RS the front was wider, or maybe it just felt that way !

Lovely car congrats - odd place to put the stickers? I thought they are meant to go on the front of the door??

Just felt that way. Rear defo wider on 7.2/4.0
They are a close fit on average trailers. I imagine 991 RS will be even more so.

majordad the measurements are as follows....sidewall to sidewall of the tyres rears...1915mm and the fronts measure 1875mm sidewall to sidewall, hope this helps and please allow a few millimeters for error but take it from me these measurements are pretty spot on!!!

Thanks robgt3.
This is some car in the flesh believe me, no photos really capture the true rawness, presence, the awesomeness of this machine on four wheels no matter what colour you have on order guys, blow your mind it will do!!!

Can't help but note the alinement of the panels...gaps between doors, boot, spoilers etc all fit with precison, must be some very clever engineering robots in Stuttgart i think, shoddy workmanship? nothing of the sort just top class German car making i'd say...

To all you guys that have there's to come... just wait till this baby is in YOUR garage, have you a surprize in store? you bet... and as for me, well only just starting out with the best yet to come, so right now.. Garage again...

Thanks my friend... i know you are a white car lover, see one for real especially in your own garage, the feeling that you own it and have had the opportunity to place an order for one and have the funds to buy it are immense, hope you manage to get that car of your dreams come 2016...

Thank you very much for the prompt reply, that's a great help. And happy to learn I was wrong re front being wider than rear.

Be very careful with your BJ Trailer. I loaded up my Cayman R for a sprint on my BJ A series (1997 vintage). There was a small amount of room either side, maybe an inch. However, I had not noticed the Bolt heads protruding into the loading area and one caught my rear wheel as I unloaded. Fortunately only my 18 inch track wheels but they were unblemished until that moment!

Not sure as far as stickers go yet still early doors, did seem to favour the Martini sripes as in starting at the lower end of the doors and curved over the rear aches, also with the wide sripes central to the car, front to rear, did have an approx quote for these at 1k.
Also crossed my mind with this combo.... red wheels, rear spoiler tips and the back of the wing mirrors in red,at least with this combination it would'nt be too a drastic measure to revert back to the new car spec but then again the price of a new full set of wheels in red i hate to think!!! 4,5,6 k??.
To say the car was collected clean and shinny, looked stunning, i just had to do my new car thing, no disrespect to my OPC,i had to polish the car myself and that way to me it makes you look literally over every square centimeter of the car and here we go again.... SPOT ON Porsche!!! not a blemish, mark, scratch, or imperfection to be seen, ok guys Chris Harris probably could'nt give a monkeys about the paint finish its performance, handling that matters to him, and also its not his car and he's not paid for it, but to me yes performance etc does matter but its also nice to know my 150 k has got me a track car with an excellent paint finish, the polish followed by a coat of canuba wax has given a deep mirror shine with NO orange peel at all,the top of the rear spoiler to me is just incredible, the flatness and shine of the paint finish is amazing.....
Sorry to probably bore you driver car guys out there but i'm sure some if not most of us want to know we own a supercar built to a very high standard wether thrashed round a track or just a garage queen and not just thrown together with badly fit panels orange peel hit/miss paintwork etc...
Next update should be a how's she drive topic to report....

Hi there - re red tips , etc - saw a picture of one with this execution - looked awful IMO - I can't find it otherwise I'd show you , sorry. I think if I'd gone white I'd add the 997.1 GT3 RS livery and maybe the 997.2 4.0 Porsche logo on the wing :
