Yeah,
I would say get both fitted. Ive had both fitted on my 991, GT3CS and it just finishes off the inside 'drama' of the car as you get in. However only used them once on track.

Hope this helps,
One of the reasons they don't really want to do it is they have to take under trays off and seats out to clean out the mounting points which on mine and a friends were blocked with sealant. So make sure you get the dealership to arrange fitment., also if you have the extinguisher fitted you can't use mats.
Drivers mat is fine - passenger mat - looks a bit st , post FE attachment But not too bad smile

Hi Rob, just my opinion here.....
Had mine fitted without even being asked!!! (that was while it was kept in storage for a few weeks)none to pleased to say the least, so a quick dash over to view them and for me especially with my car being white, black interior, yellow seat belts, yellow door pulls, white dials, the red racing harness was just way,way too much, loads of red webbing just totally out of place and basically spoiling the cars interior, again only my opinion and yes if you are going track the car regular then its probably a must.

Must say my OPC could'nt apologise enough and took them out without hesitation and put them back into the box,(they just assumed i wanted them in) not sure if the seats did come out to fit them but they did say it was lengthy process....
Maybe with LO they would look ok, i understand these decisions are hard with all the excitement of a new car going on in our heads but looking at my car now if they where in it,it would be..... can i please have them out Mr nice OPC...

OPC Belfast had mine in my 7.2RS and I hope they will again this time when I collect the 991 RS on 5th January. I can't sleep at night thinking about it, my mind just won't relax. I imagine opening the car, getting in, fiddling with the belts and adjusting the seat and putting in the key and starting the engine, then I wake up and the dream repeats itself !

I've just had them on the phone to say my GT4 has arrived. They wanted to know if I'll wait until the 2nd week in January for delivery. Apparently everyone's jumping up and down for their car's on the 4th!

Hi can you confirm your harness`s were supplied in red. When not in use as you say it is be no problem with the rear straps (they just drop down into the back) and the clasp should drop through the hole in the seat. However is there enough clearance between the seat and the centre console to push the lap strap and buckle out through the hole and clear of the seat.

Yes they are red (slightly annoying as my car is Lava - would look better in LO - kidding they are fine. In terms of the lap strap mines are stowed by the side of the seats no problem - I didn't push it through the gap in the buckets near the centre console as it may have damaged the seat , but in truth , I haven't really tried as it looks ok just tucked over the top as per the image below (incorrect orientation sorry) smile

Morning - thanks , very nice of you to say . PH is a great resource sometimes when everyone is helping / advising / supporting / challenging constructively - other times it's really frustrating , negative , infuriating - a bit like life really smile

Re 991.2 launch : I can honestly say , like a petulant child , that there is no way I'm going to that - I plan to stay in my room and sulk , listening to Edith Piaf , muttering stuff about natural aspiration , reading old Porsch magazines from the 70's , until those idiots in Germany take that bloody silly engine out of it and put a real one back in - They can take there 991.2 and shove it where the sun doesn't shine - oops I seem to have grown a beard frown

Good Morning to you too.
I think you may have started today with a slight hint of negativity. Maybe due to the particularly bad weather. I would guess that this might be brought on by the fact that your GT3RS is going to have to stay in the garage for fear of getting it dirty or running into a fallen tree. Whatever, but you can at least warm yourself in the knowledge that it is all wrapped up in your garage and ready for the spring. For some reason Porsche have supplied most of the UKs GT2/3 stock over the years in the months of November and December which is not ideal. The Cayenne yes but surely not the 911 GTs?

As to the launch of the 991.2 and your cowering in your room while your dealer manfully try's to hype up its launch I have to say I am disappointed with you. This is the beloved dealer who delivered to you your even more beloved GT3RS. You should be there to support through thick and thin. The new car will ultimately spawn the next GT3 and GT3RS and GT2 and GT2RS and probably a GT3RS limited edition too.(have you got your letter of intent in) You should be there. You will not be exposed to the tiny but powerful turbo engine because as you know when the engine cover is opened you can`t see it. You will be able to see the slight changes to the styling and the new PCM which one day you will need to operate in your next car. (so start learning about it now) Please stop fretting and get down to the dealership and be seen to be interested and remember there are no bad Porsches only good ones and great ones. At least enjoy a glass of bubbles and raise a toast to your next RS because its from these cars it will be born its these cars that make it all possible.

Just re read my rant - you're right , it was penned first thing before my first cup of coffee - it does sound a bit angry : but hey , I genuinely think it's a travesty that they've done this to the engine . The 911's ever growing size / weight and driver aids were fine as the engine made up for it & as such , I do genuinely think that this is mistake - but hey what do I know . Re the launch , in truth they must be psychic as I didn't get an invite smile

P.S - weather didn't stop me - had a long blast In the RS this morning - it's very nice , very nice indeed smile

Those of us that either own or soon to own a 991 GT3 RS have to expect that their engines are coming to an end in their non turbo format. That for me is the great appeal. We have cars that are very special. I recommend that you all watch the Evo car of the year video some interesting points are raised. Okay the RS did not win simply as it was deemed to be too fast and capable for normal roads in fact more of a race car. That fact sits well with me. Interestingly the 488 was reckoned to not be as involving as the 458 Speciale. Trouble that is what we have to expect in the future , turbos! What I am sure of Porsche will do the best job of their cars that current technologically will allow.

Be interesting to see which generation of 911 GT cars goes down the turbo route having regard to Preuningers recent confirmation they will remain n a for the ' forseeable future'.

Personally I think the gen 2 GT3 and RS will remain n a with the next new model going turbo.

Yes Hybrid is definitely coming. Just like 4 wheel drive was born from the 959 so hybrid is to be handed down from the 918
However its the 991.2 GT2 that gets the 918 hybrid 4 wheel drive system.

Maybe the next GT3s will be normally aspirated hybrid rear wheel drive.

Hahah the difficulty will be where to fit the traction motors not much room around the rear wheels
Plenty around the front ones but you purists won`t want your front wheels driving as well. No way.
