They are, have you used them in the wet ? I qualify that slightly I don't mean standing water, I mean just rain. What gives you grip in rain is two equal factors, water dispersion and compound. Softer means better grip, that's why some of those Uniroyal Rainsports don't work all that well in rain.
I spun twice on Sunday, once I swerved to avoid contact with another car and the other time I gave it too much throttle too soon. It was not the tyres that caused the spins, it was me.
Over 30 yrs ago I rallied a Fiesta here on our Irish Tarmac. I could only afford one set of tyres and was deliberating between slicks, inters or wets. The Man from Michelin put me right, slicks which he cut a minimum pattern in. These he said would be overall best of all. The slicks got hotter easier and despite their lack of thread the warmness made them grip better when the mere token thread removed some water. Inters he said were always a looser choice and full wets only worked in full rain and then only when the full rain lasted.

I started this thread, can't remember when ( I just looked it up, it's over two years ago ). I would think most potential owners would be like me in that they will keep the car for a good while and drive it for their own enjoyment. And like many owners on here I will share that experience with other PH'rs at the 2016 RS Oulton day, did that with the "Hulk" 2010 RS. Lot's of Pax laps. Spoke to God ( Melv Spear ) yesterday re Oulton 2016, only six months left we hope. it's not the best track day, it's more than that , it's life.

Saw a GT3RS on a transporter yesterday under a cover heading from Grimsby toward Doncaster.
Even though it was under a cover it was quite distinguishable with it's shape and one wheel showing.
A true PH'er would at least have got the colour, a die hard one it's engine number !Even though it was under a cover it was quite distinguishable with it's shape and one wheel showing.
