Btw you saying Porsche going back to ring again soon with the 918?
yes this is what I hear, the e-moter has been further optimised from when they last went there, combined with the ICE engine, it now puts out over 1280nm of torque...they feel that a further 6 secs at least may be in the bag......
Fair to assume that such will made available as an update to existing 918s?

Stick in the bin with the 6RS u slated....then was gonna buy one when Steve Rance saw you off....then you slated them again....what tomorrow? Steve's B1tch again?
nah, my view was right back in 03, shame they stopped the scrappage scheme eh...
To be fair to Apolo, the 6RS was a great car for a good driver and not for the average driver.

The 991 GT3 flatters the ability of all, and why the man feels so much more comfortable with the ilk of the 991 GT3. he loves the 991 TTS and some of the boring (easy to drive) Maccas.

Will the 991RS be a dog to him - not if he can money out of it. smile

And most important he says things on here just to get a reaction, and to diminish his credibility.
Mods,

I have just sent you a report on this person, all he does is troll all the time, go back over his posts and you will see he never adds value, ever, you should ban him like you said you would....
Apolo, I have given you credit when I thought it was deserved.

And what i wrong with what I have said. 6RS needs a damn good driver - are you? Others who have seen you on track have not said so. You talked about your race history from 20 years ago, but failed to provide any information. Not everyone here is a racing driver and and a 991 GT3 type of car with RWS/PDK/Super chassis does flatter drivers.

You cannot accept someone disagreeing with you or highlighting your BS and you have previously said you like to wind people up. And you have flip-flopped, and not just on 911's.

Mods never told you they would ban me - you are making up that. How many others posters who disagreed with have you reported?

911 forums (where you spend nearly all your time) are not your private forum. So share your ideas/information as i will till the Mods decide I should not.

I have said before - you add value, but you yourself take it away. Peace smile

even if the RS came in at 200k plus it would still be undervalued, along side the 650s, 458SPs
Apolo dear boy I could pull a post which you aimed quite aggressively at MPBCS stating that the 650 would bomb in value the same as the 12C so which is it ?
You see where this can seem contradictory ?
Just saying matey

The only thing 'schoolboy' appears to be your grammar and punctuation.

Back on topic, rather than simply claim other people are talking nonsense, perhaps you'd like to justify what the 991 GT3 and GT3 RS are 'worth' in your opinion...

There is nothing better than some expert who can not justify there comments, who then results in even more schoolyard comments about some ones grammar.Just check out your own grammar sidick,of which my spell checker just tried to correct to sidekick!!rofl

I've justified my comments - you've done nothing of the sort regarding your own opinions.

Where has my grammar been incorrect?

".....please you'd like to justify....." is a bit grammatically suspect for starters.

Of course that 'please' should be 'perhaps' - so a clear typo / iPad autocorrect error rather than incorrect grammar! Now corrected.

(But somewhat off topic, hence I didn't bother to correct the numerous errors in his previous post either). It just seemed somewhat ironic that the person complaining about 'schoolboy' posts was the one insulting other people rather than add value to the threads and writing in a style that would struggle to achieve an 'F' grade at GSCE!).

Excellent.

I ask again, will RHD retail prices be bumped up because of the speculator angle and export potential. Porsche are not oblivious to what is going on.

So you think that the UK (RHD) 991 GT3 RS might have a much higher premium over the 991 GT3 compared to the EUR equivalent (or did I misunderstand the point you were making)?

Fair enough but if you open up with an argument attacking someone's grammar, you should at least read what you write.

As for the value of the 991 GT3, I think it's worth pretty much what it was priced at by Porsche. You can easily get to £120k plus if you spec it well, so it's up there with the Turbo with a like for like spec which is where Porsche want it to be. The fact that it's as good a driver's car as stuff costing twice as much just helps it as a halo model for Porsche. Another reason I don't think it's under priced is that there have been 6 used ones on the Porsche site for a while now at 10-15 over list and not one has moved, despite the supposed huge demand and claims of the car being "under priced" on here. Yes, it's a great car but not £20k too cheap in my view. Maybe there will be a big jump to the RS, maybe not. We'll see soon enough.

Put yourself in the position of Porsche UK. You know RHD are fetching significant premiums to LHD cars, and you know for a fact many of these cars are then being exported (currency play etc) leaving an even smaller pool and higher prices resulting in these cars not being driven much.

What would you do?

Fair enough. Of course the price that someone is prepared to pay is influenced to some extent by the list price. So there is an 'anchor' based on that list price and people don't want to pay more than £x on top of that price. I wonder, given the performance and the price of the car, whether it would have had the same demand at £120k list rather than £100k. Would people still be happy to pay a £10k premium to get into a car in that scenario - I suspect yes, but we will never know!

Does anyone have any details of the specs on the RS? Porsche appear to be doing a good job of keeping the suspense surrounding this car at a heightened level.
