Have to say , not a big fan Aston fan in any guise - spent my whole time growing up really wanting one - the day I could afford one I drove it and was underwhelmed , so I tried another and then another - all equally disappointing
Here it apparently is; all the info on the RS has been leaked.
Axis of Oversteer has the leaked info on the car. For those hoping for a return to the purist ideals of the 997, you'll be disappointed. It seems like a logical evolution of the GT3, albeit one with some pretty hardcore weight-saving measures (loads of CRFP, a roof in magnesium, polycarbonate windows all around). Engine displacement is increased to 4.0 liters and 500 hp. However, the redline is now at 8800 rpm instead of 9k, PDK and rear wheel steering remain. And if gimmicky, pointless add-ons are your thing, there's a pit lane speed limiter.
Nope.
Let's see if it's true now,

I did not see it posted here. If it has been, my error. http://rennlist.com/forums/attachments/991-gt3/913...

So the RS wont rev as high as the regular gt3? doesnt sound right..
The 4.0 had a lower rev limit than the 3.8RS as well so the engine capacity increase might have something to do with it. Peak power on the 991 gt3 is a good bit below 9000 rpm anyway so the extra 200 rpm hardly matters I'd have thought.isaldiri said:
