I think there must be more to this than the raw numbers suggest . It seems to have plenty of trick bits , without giving a big step forward on paper .

What's a standard GT3 weigh in Clubsport Spec ? Is the comfort car lighter ie without cage ?

Precisely. For the first time in history a new RS is cheaper than all its predecessors. Plus it comes in a brand new colour - Flowerpot Orange - what more could one ask for??

I want one - don't particularly care about it being worth more than list soon, but it would clearly giver me a warm fuzzy feeling - not that I would sell. would order in signal yellow if I could secure a slot (which as of today seems unlikely). what better reason is there for saving every last penny (or taking finance) than being able to take delivery of your virginal new RS ... and this from somebody who never wanted to buy a car without a manual - but am worried that this might actually be the last new (special) NA Porsche or Ferrari that can be ordered (excluding Ferrari 12s which will likely forever be out of range).

I'm sure there will be a silly stickers option, hopefully something suitably crazy.

Not quite more extreme over the gt3 though is it at 10kg lighter and 5s quicker at the ring vs 25kg and 7s for the 7.2 gt3 rs/gt3.. Still the rs has always been (considerably) better than the spec sheet improvement over the gt3 and i am sure this will be no different. Look forward to seeing a few at the ring this summer hopefully!

As they said this will be the biggest step up from GT3 to RS ..... wide track etc ..... this will be significantly faster .
Looks amazing but not for me sadly , am more an RSR type .. due to family ..

Totally agree, its looks like a fast luxury car, previous RS models felt like barely legal street racers

Thought there seemed to be a lot of shifting for an automatic!

Some of the interior looks quite conventional. I'm going to guess it's not going to get bad reviews though .... will be interesting to see what the road testers say in comparison to the usable gt3 and how big the gap.

I quite like the less lairy looks compared to 997 version. What colours they doing them in?
