Which OPC is yours from?
Mines from the Local OPC who I've used for years now, but no queue jumping involved.

Morning all - I have managed to deposit , but I haven't had a slot confirmed as of yet (but told I will be contacted v soon to fill in order form ) I guess , I'm just trying to get a feeling about how many others (in the UK) are in the same boat - ie in the maybe / maybe not camp vs those who've deposited and have had a car confirmed. (& if all of these are 918 owners ?)

It would be nice to know is if the UK dealers have knowledge of their full allocations yet or have they just firmed up the "no brainers" and the rest of us will have to wait until their final allocation is known.

Either way - congratulations to all who have one confirmed and good luck to the people trying smile

My OPC said he knew his allocation but it wasn't appropriate to tell me just yet. Good news is they didn't sell a 918 and he says I'll be getting a car.

Looking again at one of the dealer slides a friend had received (and I think is now put up on Rennlist), the ground clearance of the car is 110mm vs 93mm on the 7.2 and 991 gt3.

Does anyone offhand have any bright ideas on whether the very slightly lower approach angle would negatively affect the car's ability to negotiate speedhumps/garage ramps given the higher ground clearance? Would very much like to do without the front lifter if possible....

Colour choice is poor. Going to wait a few months for PTS then probably go black.

On a RHD RS ?

Heading to Geneva in a hour or so . Have a GT4 confirmed ( or as confirmed as they can be at the minute) but keen for an RS even if LHD .

& I have driven the 991 GT3 and have said many times that it is a masterpiece of engineering. And that list was lower by about £15k. Is it worth £130k? yes, in my opinion.

Is it worth £180k or £200k - I do not think so, but the market will determine that. We all know the car is selling for just over half that in other markets.
considering what an 'old' 4.0 997 now costs then the 991 RS really is great value as its moved the game on massively in terms of tech and capability.

after seeing the EVO Jethro overview at Geneva and what they have out into the RS and the detail they have gone into then 130k sounds like a bargain.

spaceship style technology in the engine, new crank, conrods and they have really gone to town on the aero, grip and other fine bits they do so well.

I love the wing vents and the idea of doubling aero on a track day

every angle you look at the RS its just a frigging master piece. talk about move the game on. WOW!

We will see how much the game has moved on, with poor tyre supply again with silly wheel sizes, those back tyres will not last long

Depends if you are happy to replace the plastic lip spoiler up front every so often, you can get through a lot of those before you have spent the 2k for front lift.

The front lift is a handy peace of kit on UK roads with speed bumps etc. I would not spec it without it.

I'm pretty tempted to go without lift as well, and delete aircon etc to go as lightweight as possible. Uprated stereo, bluetooth etc seems pointless as well, but not sure about going full radio delete. Depends if you get the wiring anyway.

In real terms the options of lift, air con and sound/bluetooth are not going make any difference to your lap times/experience but will make a massive difference when you are on the road.

I notice its a 102DB limit.
I was 106 DB on track at Oulton. (with bypass fitted)

How are 991 gt3 owners getting on with the 102 limit?
