Yes. I had full LED lights on my 991 GT3, and compared to the standard xenons I had on my previous 991, they were a huge improvement. They give a much whiter brighter light, with what seems like a longer projection of the beam, and greater long range definition. I will be chosing them next time.

We had lithium batteries on rally cars and race cars we run, and they're a pain to keep on trickle charge, and have a habit of draining and not always holding full charge. I'm sure the Porsche LI battery is a better deisgn, but cant see the advantage...
Thanks IREvans and AndrewD - LEDs added to order. Christ, this is getting expensive! redface

Speaks volumes if this sad individual is indeed the same guy. The OPC would have been glad to see the back of this type I'm sure. Best ad Porsche could have hoped for.

SNAP..! Just that I've chosen satin platinum wheels, and orange cage.

Will also switch to PTS if they confirm availability, but its not looking likely.

As 991 GT3 RS is based on gen 1 991, and production is switching to gen 2 991 over August shutdown, wont all 991 RS be produced this side of the shutdown..?
Good taste sir smile

I am hearing all the cars will be produced for June/July but not yet confirmed

Don't think this is the case. Not sure how it works between RHD and LHD cars but there are build slots for LHD cars into 2016.

Thanks and no probs at all..... Colour more or less looks guards red, obviously a little bit lighter but I think they would have to be side by side to spot the real difference. The orangey shot of the bonnet is more to do with the lighting and the iPhone not capturing the colour correctly

It's not sailed yet - deposit is in and I'm waiting - I guess it's obvious that I'm "B" list as some already know - if I was a betting man , I would bet against me , but who knows I may get lucky - I don't care if I'm A,B, C , D or Z list if I get one though smile

I paid deposit yesterday, and was on the stand today. After a good Porsche lunch..., managed to get a slot to spec car in Porsche Exclusive area, with guys from Porsche Geneva. Hasn't been entered into UK system but was good to chat through anyway and print off.

Firstly, the orange looks different in the flesh than on the configurator. It is not as bright, and more salmon. Personal choice, but worth seeing if you can. I thought it was ok, and may yet go for it, but other people there really didn't like it,

I configured in GT silver but might change, Light grey wheels, 918 seats (all 3 seats types are no cost option), LW battery, no lift kit, white dials, passenger harness. Black Xenons not LED, no PCCB.

You can only get an orange cage with orange car, or white with white - all other combos must be black. Also, no orange stitching(!) if not orange car. Very limited choices at this stage.

I was persuaded to go with aircon, PCM, Bluetooth etc as that seems de rigeur, but again might change.

I was told that there will definitely be no PTS decision til the summer, not before and they are still unsure if it will be offered. Seems like you will be into 2016 delivery If waiting for PTS.

Porsche Geneva sold the most GT3s in Europe (23), but are struggling for allocations other than 918s at the moment. The cars will all be MY16 from May onwards, 918 buyers cars will come first.

German OPC i have an order with is telling me no lithium battery option (no problems on the 12c for me for one) is available at the moment after I was messing with the configurator where it has now dropped off... Can anyone at Geneva kindly ask about that?
if PTS is only doable for 2016 i might give up trying to wait for signal yellow and just go gt silver...

IMO it does have a hint of Salmon but could have just been the lighting .

It's a chunky looking thing in the flesh . The front rubber lip is big and the wheel size must play a part . Still a very big want .

It might be like that dress that was all over the Internet last week....but it didn't look like guards to me. Nor to the guy I was with (who has sold Porsches for years). Even the Swiss salesman on stand used the word Salmon,

The new lithium battery is twice the rating of previous model so I was hoping it would be reliable (with trickle charger) and decent weight saving of 13kg.
