Yeah, thinking Mexico or Riviera Blue if I go ahead with the RS. My OPC (Dubai) says any PTS unlikely before Sept.

Sorry to be a little slow. I have had my deposit taken and am keyed on the system, but my OPC is saying they have not got their allocation yet. Are some of you guys saying that you have had a UK OPC build slot confirmed, and you're not the guys who get an automatic 918 guaranteed slot? Thanks Mike
I have heard nothing from my dealer yet frown Very strange that some have ?

My dealer advises that no allocations have been confirmed yet to uk dealers - so yes strange unless as said above these are 918 owners

I don't think that's accurate. They might not know the exact figure but they know roughly what they're getting so they can manage expectations. At least, that's how my OPC is playing it and it's consistent with a few others on here.

There is a white LHD one on PH for around €75,000Euro more than cost:

The only other one is a wanted add.

Spoke to my OPC and I think most of us are in for a pretty lengthy wait on this.

Firstly, all 918 owner cars are being built first. I'm #2 at my OPC and have a build month of October, which is the same build month as #1. On that basis I’m looking at a November/December delivery. Not great.

I’m also told that there are delays on different things related to the car like the carbon buckets – GT4s will see a 4 week delay due to this, which might also impact the RS.

Re: PTS, it’s highly unlikely that this will be offered on any car. Or so I’m told! Boo.

+ vat...

Disgusting how these are already for sale!

Porsche should've locked owners in for at least 1 year!

I had already included vat Jim wink
In Germany they tie you in for 6 months but that still won't stop the problem

Having patiently waited for quite a while - what a double whammy on top of a delayed launch because of the engine fire problem. Now Porsche policy of 918 owners jumping the queue AND CF seats delay ! Not good.

You've got a car and your moaning about when it will be delivered - are you mad??? Be thankful!

I don't think any cars are being built before September, 918 or otherwise. (UK cars at least - not sure about LHD)

Could be wrong or some dealers may have priority, but I'm first on list at my OPC, and have an indicative Sept date. However, am also told that delay from build to delivery is only going to be a couple of weeks, so Sept build could equal Sept delivery.

Good news. All of the speculation, loads of posts, and yet, none of us knows for real how the thing performs. We have informed guesses, press releases, but in the end. how the car really feels is still a question for me. I have one confirmed, but there are better drivers than I am out there ( many) and it is helpful to read some constructive reviews.

I think that the spec of the car says it all. It's built and designed with little compromise, the aero and suspension are a big leap forward as are the tyres ( Cup 2s way better than previous cups ) , power a bit less than I hoped for and only four colours at launch and for us Europeans no Factory Collection as it's winter delivery mostly. That said I'm looking forward to the Autocar Test. That's always the clincher for me.

Autocar is good, no question. I also try to pick up the Sport Auto test at the Ring. In German but the test has a lot of data in it.

I wonder will Porsche run the car at the NBR 24 like they did in 2010, it finished 11th? Then with the recent accident there may not be a NBR 24 this year.
