Just curious to know the thoughts on full leather in the RS, as nice as it looks I personally don't think it fits well with a club sport interior ??
Full leather ( at least in Canada) means leather dash etc, but seats and steering wheels, headliner all remain Alcantara. I had it on my 997.2 RS and it worked quite well...Sandy59 said:

Would go for the full leather. The RS is far from a really stripped out, super track focused car and the full leather would suit the car better IMO.isaldiri said:

That probably is a fair point, I do agree it looks far better although I've been thinking leather for comfort, and the vinyl for CS up till now.Plenty time to decide, Oct/Nov I believe for mine.

Fully agree full leather just adds a bit of class to the interior and its not that expensive. Its also available in the two tone colour options. Orange/Black (only with Lava Orange Exterior) and Grey/black helping to lighten up things inside a bit. I fully agree also with your comment concerning GT3RS track focus. Its a long while ago (I think 996.1 GT3RS) when you could specify a clubsport version and you would lose most of the carpets as well as all the lower half of the dash assembly. These days you still can have your stereo and air con removed at the factory but that's about it. GT3RS is still primarily a road car. What I wanted to know is if anyone knew just how heavy the front axle lifting option was, my dealer still can`t tell me. Hp1 said:
I remember Andreas saying that it was circa 20kg on the gt3 but the vast majority of the weight was in a place where you were unlikely to notice, even if you were a professional driver.
Porsche technical have came back to me this afternoon at last with the weight at 6.5kg like you I thought it was much heavier. Maybe they have redesigned. However reducing the weight by splashing out £1400 on a lithium battery seems pointless as is then wiped out by the lifting kit and that at another £2k. Front spoiler lips are around £120.00 and easy to fit so I am not sure if the lifting gear makes any sense unless you regularly have to drive into a bad slope like say a garage or entrance to a car park etc.

I know that lithium batteries have to be looked after properly to maintain life, from my other boys toys.

I've seen this argument many times, but am not totally convinced. However reducing the weight by splashing out £1400 on a lithium battery seems pointless as is then wiped out by the lifting kit and that at another £2k. I have the axle lift on my GT3 and it is an essential for me given the angle of access to my house / garage. However, even with this, the underneath of the spoiler lip is very scuffed. Without it, I think I'd be risking proper damage to the front bumper not just scuffing.

With the 991 front spoiler design the risk to damaging the front PU is higher than the 997. Front lift is the first option I selected on my GT3.
To prevent damage just remember to raise the car, fail to see how you blame the system if its operator error!
I had a 997.1 RS ( no lift available) seven splitters in seven years..not from hitting things but from scraping on downward rampsTo prevent damage just remember to raise the car, fail to see how you blame the system if its operator error!
I also had a 997.2 RS (lift fitted)...had original splitter after four years.
No question...I ordered the lift.

I think that says it all. Best to order the lift and remember to use it of course. On my 997.2 GT2RS (no lift option) I replaced the front lower trim three times. The only way to get over a reasonably sized speed hump was to approach from an angle and let a front wheel lift the car before the splitter hit it. If the 991 is even more susceptible then the lift is probably a must. Guess this is why Porsche offer it.I also had a 997.2 RS (lift fitted)...had original splitter after four years.
