A few weeks back I had courtesy of the local opc a few days with a c2s,c4s ,turbo, cayman all with pdk, overall I was left a bit cold by them .

I can see the advantages and have defended their use ,but honestly a week with those 991s left me with a revised opinion. You are removing a large part of the interaction ,that isn't disputable. What is important is whether that is important to yourself ,if I had to use one car daily and lived in the uk then a pdk box makes total sense. However Im lucky and can have a car for daily use and a toy and the toy will as much as possible always have a manual box,I really dont care if I am 5 seconds slower with one,I would be having a lot more fun.

As I said it one of those its personal choice ,no right or wrong.
I have done over 100k in PDK boxes, the one in the GT3 is completely different.

why do you rate the 6RS? for me it is worst 911 I had ever owned.....The car was all over the road, coming from the over engineered 964s, this for me was a big down turn, and I did try with the geo, but well recall it just tracked the slightest camber, I went on from this to 996GT2 had the geo set up and kept it as a daily for over 2 years....

it appears that I am not alone in this view on the 6RS, The 87 CS has gone up what 2 3,4 times its list. the 964RS a good one now is well north of 160-170k, the 993RS, is now what 250k. 4.0s are 270-300k, what has the 6RS done.? unloved........imv

C,
For me the box is the best part of the car....
Same....and I have an early 73 RS and was an avid stick shift publicist.
The 991 GT3 simply blows that theory into the weeds. The chassis and engine take over, and you utterly forget about the stick. Never thought I'd say that....but there it is.
praise can come no higher.......

completely disagree, if its a good driving car the market will reflect this and has done time after time.....the as I said the 6RS is the worst 911 I have ever owned.

why do you think 2.7RS are now 7 figures at the ask

Longer term it seems to me that the 6RS will be good. Because the 6RS was never imported over here to North America, I recall there was relatively fewer of them produced in total compared to the 997s, which at a guess were 2000 gen.1s, 2000 gen.2s and 600 4.0s. 4600 production for the 997 compared to a much smaller prod for the 996??.

the 964 is leaps and bounds better than the 6RS..as you say its up to the individual taste......but for me the 6RS is just another K9

246 for one...any of the air cooled pre G series 911s ie, 2,4s..360CS, f40,the list is endless, the market loves a good drivers car....there is good reason as to why the 6RS is at the level it is at....

Oh please! The market is the market. It's about something else altogether and using it as an argument for anything other than a "my car is worth more" point is worthless. You asked the man about his opinion and he gave it to you. Your differs, live with it.

I had time with the 991 GT3 before the stop sale fubar. I found it completely beige and I went home.

Bit of an odd quote given JZM just sold one for 100k that had done 9.5k miles and they were 80 new....
