What a great day. So lucky with the weather. Some lovely machinery around too.

Seemed to have an endless stream of passengers too!

Yes, I checked and its a real RUF RGT based on a 996GT3.2

Molly
You very nearly got it 100 percent correct I'm impressed. it is a Real RUF RGT but based on a 996 GT3 Mk1.

Cheers Al
Hi

I could swear it had mark 2 headlights on it? Unless I am going mad?
Your not going mad Molly, it has the new front ala Turbo as part of the RGT build.

Nice pics. I agree about the name badges! I would've said hello to a few people if I knew who they were!
Like this?

I was doing a bit of 'sponsorship' of rainger's car.

So far we have raised £750 in charity rides -thanx to those that were willing to give up passenger seats. And I haven't counted the dosh in the buckets yet!

And BTW, two of those 964RS's were 964's and four were Carrera Cup cars... ;-)

Great day out, on the whole excellent driving standards. Same time next year? driving

Aside from my first session, I had a passenger every time I went out. Apparently it was a 'mint' experience smile

I still haven't got down to the South West monthly meeting at Minchinhampton yet, but I saw you Ted (well I was guessing from your number plate it was you) in the pit garage.

By the time I walked over, some spoty yoof was in the passenger seat and you were away.

They seemed to have enjoyed the experience by the sound of it smile

Yep, couldn't agree more. It was a brilliant atmosphere out on track yesterday.

The paddock was heaving to. smile

What? And no one tried to lynch you? I heard that everyone who turned up in a Spyder had special badges saying "no, I am not MrD"

It looks like everyone had a great time, some lovely cars there as usual. I am so sad I missed it this year but lets make sure its promoted ahead of time next year and we can all plan around it.

I really do think the idea of an I`m on PH ID badge (Petrol Ted, come on mate... idea...) so that we can at least introduce ourselves to each other if we wish to, is a great idea!

Had a great day, highlight for me was Mrs Boxsey's Lemon Drizzle Cake clap

Thanks to Marcus for improving my lines, especially at cascades. Had one moment after lunch where I nearly spun after Hizzy's Chicane which the yoof next to me seemed to enjoy a lot.

On the whole there weres excellent driving standards on track, see you all next year hopefully.

What an excellent day: I'd not done Oulton before but it was well worth the trip. Driving standards were excellent and once the mists lifted everything stayed dry. Lots of lovely machinery on show on and off the circuit with my soft spot for Maritime blue 964RSs and any colour 993RS comforts well catered for as well as the classic and contemporary machinery. Lots of clear track time to be had in the GT3 to try out the new Cup2s and get to know the circuit. None of my passengers seemed unduly traumatised so a success all around I would say thumbup

The yellow GT2 belongs to Rainger ('therainge'?). I just sit in it and occasionally drive it. It's a 996 GT2 (mk1) genuine ClubSport - so quite rare. It's reasonably standard apart from Dunlop slicks and a bit of a remap - and for peace of mind, the coolant hoses are on welded pipes. Steve (996TTstevo) says that it spits out blue flames! It's fast. Absolutely superb at Spa and Nürburging.

Sounds a real hoot. I didnt know there was an official CS classification for a 996 gt2 intresting. many 996 RS there?
