I can now confirm I'm not attending the Geneva Motor Show this year so I can be available for instruction. ARDS qualified, lots of experience of Oulton in all sorts of cars (but mainly Porsches), with good results too.
It's a long, technical circuit (with little run off) so coaching pays dividends in improving your technique and pace, as well as reducing your chances of an incident.
"There's usually more time to be found in the driver than in changing the car set up".
Ask on here for recommendations (Boxsey for one).
Just to update - I'm now booked for a busy morning, alternating with 2 drivers in their respective cars. I may have to leave before the whole day's over and don't want to take afternoon bookings as such (I also want to spend some time in the paddock, seeing the people and cars) but may be able to do ad-hoc coaching sessions - so if you see me (possibly with The Goose on my race-coat collar, if you don't know me already), feel free to grab me and ask. It's a long, technical circuit (with little run off) so coaching pays dividends in improving your technique and pace, as well as reducing your chances of an incident.

I'll be there talking to myself, moaning about poor lines, poor braking and poor on track behaviour...... Watching from the terraces as I'm chicken

And Gentleman please place your bets. For a lap of less than 1:36.00 and the hero of the day award.

I reckon I could do a 1.36 easily....so long as you don't mind me taking a shortcut at Cascades And just remember. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2QApwtE8zQ

Seriously though, get your car out there! There's bound to be a cancellation or two in the preceding week and there should be instructors available to show you good lines, good braking and good on track behaviour etc.
If you'd be happier with more dedicated coaching I'm booked but I can put you in touch with some good pairs of hands. It's not compulsory to drive round all day either, just do what you're comfortable with. If you're going to be there anyway, you may as well do a few laps - you could find yourself falling in love with your car all over again.

Never tracked at Oulton, and never in a car before anywhere else. To me tracks are for us bikers. Maybe its time for change.

I really like that. I assume its dutch with the orange plate? I have never seen a Sierra with four headlamps.
It goes like stink Molly - that carbon bonnet has taken like grams off the total weight - worth at least 0.05 seconds per lap glad you like the 'endurance' headlights....................
