Dundee BMW put you in a shuttle that roves about dropping off and picking up.
Quite interesting, we all turn up all profesh in our beemers, and then sheepishly file into a crappy minibus with steamed up windows.
Also, while on the beemer bus, I met a colleague last time, who told me how her nearly new 1 series timing belt catastrophically failed in the middle of europe. Ahh, the perks of prestige motoring.
I am considering having an opc service my 996T, if i was guaranteed a 911/cayman/boxster for the day I would be much more likely to do it.

OPC Kendal in 2013 gave me a newish JAP little 4x4. It hadn't a handbrake just a little lever. I'd never used one before and just can't see why it couldn't have a traditional handbrake. That was fun (not) doing a 3 point turn up on Fells in January.
OPC Swindon this year gave me a brand new BMW 3 or maybe 5 Touring, with 500 miles on the clock. That didn't have a handbrake either OR a place to insert the key. I was dumbstruck. The Service quy kindly explained how it all worked but couldn't give an answer when I asked him where to keep the gigantic key thing in the car whilst driving. Auto box with several driving modes, WTF? He didn't tell me about the stop/start rubbish either. I thought it had broken down at the first set of lights when it stopped.
You call this progress!!!!
I drive a LR Defender as my daily. Proper handbrake, proper key, proper gearbox and it doesn't stop eveytime I pull up at the lights. Sorted.

are people actually complaining about the courtesy (know what the word means?) car not being a porsche? wow.
Yes: it is part of the service expected. And the cost of that is reflected in the labour rates charged by the dealer and the purchase price of your car in the first place. And in the low prices the dealers offer on part exchanges. And meanwhile - if the dealer is smart - they loan you a car which you might be tempted to buy as an upgrade or in addition to your other Porsche. They offer free 24 hour test drives to customers, so why not combine marketing and servicing / warranty work?Agree that in the case of short notice / emergency repairs I would be very happy with any loan car to keep me on the road. Usually the dealers offer excellent service in this regard.

I think it's insulting not to provide a decent courtesy car when charging £630 for 30 mins work (done whenever the teenagers out back feel like pretending to do it).

good marketing imo and a great way to get you in a new car if you like the car you have been in the last 24 hours.
Leicester always give you a Porsche. :-)
And to prove the point I spent yesterday test driving Aston Martin Vantages. I went there and back in my courtsey C-Class Estate. A very big opportunity missed for Porsche. At the very least, bringing in a 987.2 should really be the chance for them to get me in a 981.Leicester always give you a Porsche. :-)
