Gooding '73 RS Lightweight $1.275mm plus com
Discussion
Massive performance of the '73 RS Lightweight at Goodings in Amelia Island... opening bid was $1mm and sold for another 1/4 mm on top of that!
Dealers all currently repricing their stock as we speak as all Porsche prices get bumped slightly in line with that...
Feels like a staggering price to me.

It's $1,402,500 with buyer's premium. That's about £900k.

I was out with a mate on Sunday driving his recently acquired (Like , last week ) RS 2.7 Touring. He'd picked it up the day before, had a little fun on the sellers field trying it out, met us in the rain the next day. Enjoyed a great little noon with the car being driven enthusiastically as it was meant to be in company with some other classic Porsches.
Covered in road st, dirt, mud and driver with a great big grin.
If ihese get any more valuable no one is going to be doing that any more, what a crying shame

Oh well.
IM sure up until 2 yrs ago you could find a 959 for 150ish. I remember thinking the price didn't seem to move.Very expensive to run and all that....Oh well.

I promise you while I live I will cane that car to within an inch of its life . I am meticulous with servicing and maintenance ( double / triple up on services , fluids etc changed after every track day and on ) but by the power of grey skull I will not stop driving the buggers ! They are better when used , of that I am convinced .Covered in road st, dirt, mud and driver with a great big grin.

Cracking. Not in your league but will run the RST regardless of the value. They need to be driven !.
Thats the way Robbo , fantastic matey ! Like you , I genuinely think the used cars are better .What say you to getting a PH RS and RSR meet sorted out , think we could do it ?

So do I. Name a date and we can schedule. My only worry is the Brummie. All those cars and still no RS.
