Following the success of the previous event in January I have agreed to set up another. Initial proposal is as follows :-

Date - Sunday 27th April
Location - The Cat & Fiddle Inn, Macclesfield, SK11 0AR, 01298 78366
Time - Breakfast served from 08:00, set off around 09:00

The actual route is open to discussion.
Option 1 - same as last time - mini Peak Triangle
Option 2 - much longer route around the Peak District
Option 3 - both of the above, just do the one you prefer
Option 4 - any other suggestions

Anyway, please let me know what you think and add your name to the list if interested.

BubblesNW - Cayman S - White - Darren

Love to to join you guys on the Sunday for a limited 50mph run out or alternately a license ban, lmao
I did go up in January past the fiddle and all the cameras in my 996 turbo & really enjoyed the windy roads

Is this also on other Porsche forums to generate participants like Peak District Run #1 was?

I will call the Cat & Fiddle and arrange breakfasts and ensure you all get free tea and coffe with the food.
As for teh route, the genera;l consensus seems to be for ma longer run than the mini triangle we did last time. Can I leave it to Infrasilver, Bo1970 and HappyBoxster to sort out as they appear to be interested and informed ...

BubblesNW - Sorry to hear that you cannot make it. Can you PM me the details for the other guys and I'll pull the route together.

If anyone has any preference for the route, or flashes of inspiration, then please let me know.

Finally, other than BubblesNW is anyone else active on the 911UK forum so that we can keep this thing together?

Looks like we have a good route coming together (to hopefully be shared later today). Anyone else care to join to help us beat Jan's total of 20+ cars?

Last time weather looked like this so no reason why we can't exceed that in lovely late April:

Courtsey of Infrasilver from the 911uk forum:

"I think we've nailed the route down, make sure you have range for 75+ miles in your tanks and fill yer bellies with a Big Breakfast.

Looking to take the A53 then on past Longnor up towards to Snake Pass, may stop at the Snake Pass Inn to regroup before carrying on towards Glossop then heading towards Macclesfield and back to the Cat and Fiddle. I've haven't detailed the exact route yet but below is the basic path.

I'll have print outs of the route that I can hand out on the morning before setting off so everyone has the route with them and can go at their own pace."

Snake Pass Inn is about 1hr 10mins into the loop on the right a little before where the A57 is marked on the map. Thoughts and comments welcome or forever hold your silence.

Consider yourself signed up. See you at the Cat and Fiddle this Sunday at 8ish for a 9ish departure.

I spoke with the Cat & Fiddle this morning, they will be expecting 20-25 cars and will be geared up for 30-35 breakfasts from 08:30.
Breakfasts should come with free tea or coffee - same as last time.
Any problems, ask to speak to Adam.

Hope you all have a great time

If anyone has a TomTom and they want to preload this route then drop me a PM and I can send the file to you. I think you can convert it if you have a Garmin but that might take some Googling.

We will also have about 25 hard copies to give out.

That said, we dont intend to leave anyone behind!
