beer It's an immaculate 2006 manual with 29k miles - definitely a keeper!

Still such an epic car. You forget how fast they are. Cross country there's very few cars that can keep up.

Agreed and there is so much more power to be had on the table.

I have often been on early morning hoons with a close friend in a 991 turbo S and in gear across country even against a stock 8 yr old 997.1 turbo there's very little in it believe it or not. If you miss a gear change the 991 turbo S obviously disappears into the horizon.

With 9e GT2 RS turbos on a 997.1 turbo you leave 650bhp tuned 991 turbos for dead let alone stock 991 turbos. Lucky devils in 997.2 turbo just need a flash and decent sports exhaust to extract the same sort of performance 9e have managed with the bigger GT2 VTG hybrid turbos on 997.1.

991 turbo actually has smaller turbos than a 997.2 turbo.

Another few pics lol

Not the best pics, have spent the last few months working on the car. Have now managed to get the looks, performance and handling right but still not happy with sound. Selling the Europipe and will buy another exhaust soon!

Some nice words on the 997 turbo in the recent Evo, this the 991.2 Carrera against some second hand options including a 997.2 turbo. They rated it highly although I especially liked the bit about really wanting a manual 997.1 turbo smile

What is lacking from the Europipe noise? Which way do you think you will go with the replacement?

^^^ Hi Cal, Speedtech 3 inch, BBi x pipe, and 9e Capristo (they make it to their design) are the most aggressive 997 turbo exhausts I have heard. I fear you're never going to get the hard edged exotic sound you're looking for from a turbo but these are the closest IMO. I've found the FVD, Akrapovic etc nice but equally quiet to Europipe stage 1. I'm a tad concerned you may be throwing money down the drain swapping again though as really not much in it and the Europipe is very good quality - if you put it up for sale it will fly out.

TB993t has quite a special inconel Kline so maybe he can chime in on his experience? Not the best quality vid but this is the Kline

Again not good quality but here is Speedtech

Blue 9e XX - over 1000whp yikes

Blows the doors off P1, 918, Enzo's and Veyrons for fun! Changed hands recently for not far off the price of a new 488 GTB.

0-300kph - approx 15 secs!
